2 Download and Installation To download the Mobitalker app, visit the Ovi Store using your mobile device and search for Mobitalker. Or you can download the Mobitalker app from the website at: Choose your phone s Operating System from the form. To locate your mobile device s OS system: Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone management > About To receive the Mobitalker app through SMS (text message), fill in the section labeled Mobile Number. Make sure to choose your country in the Country Code field. Fill in your mobile number in the Number field. Make sure to input your exact mobile number without any spaces, dashes or other symbols and without the country code. Select the radio button at the bottom of the form labeled Send link via SMS. To receive the Mobitalker app through E mail, input your address in the field labeled E mail Address. Select the radio button at the bottom of the form labeled Send link via E mail. To receive the Mobitalker app through SMS and E mail, fill in the fields listed above and select the radio button at the bottom of the form labeled Send link via both SMS and E mail. 2

3 Click the Submit button at the bottom of the form. A link to the Mobitalker app will be sent to you through the method you chose. Click on the link and the Mobitalker app will be downloaded to your phone. When it finishes downloading, click on the notification that states that the file has finished downloading and the installation screen will display. Click OK on the bottom of the screen. The Mobitalker app will install. When it finishes installing, you will see the Mobitalker icon in your list of applications. Select the icon to launch Mobitalker. 3

4 Enter your account number that has been provided to you by your Mobitalker reseller or found on your Mobitalker card into the field labeled Account. Enter your PIN into the field labeled PIN. In the dropdown list labeled My country code, select the country that you are currently located in. Input your mobile number in the field labeled My phone number. Don t add your country code or any symbols or spaces. Depending on the Country you selected, you may get a pop up window labeled Call through Region. Choose the Region that is closest to your current location. 4

5 Using Mobitalker To place a call, open the Mobitalker app and enter the number you wish to call. Press the green call button (picture of a phone handset on the button) to initiate the call. The phone will load the Call Type screen. 5

6 Depending on your location and connection, you will have different options on how to place the call. The options include: VOIP This option will use WiFi internet connection if WiFi is turned ON on your phone and is connected to a WiFi network. If not, it will use your mobile carrier s Internet connection and therefore may be subject to data usage charges from your mobile carrier. Call quality using VoIP will depend on the strength of the Internet connection. Call through This option will dial a local access number (depending on the Country/Region you chose during installation). It will then automatically dial the number you are attempting to call and connect the call through the local access number. This option will be subject to minute usages for the local number dialed by your mobile carrier. This option is not available in every country. Ringback This option will place an incoming call to your phone. When you answer, you will be automatically connected to the number you dialed. This option will be considered an incoming call with your mobile carrier. You can also initiate a call by dialing the number you would like to call from the phone s native dialpad. Make sure to prefix the call with the international dialing prefix of your country (e.g. 011, 00, etc.). Even without the app open, Mobitalker will realize you want to make an International call and will launch the Mobitalker app and load the Call Type screen. This call interception would work only if the Mobitalker app has already been launched and not exited. The Contacts window in the Mobitalker app stores all your contacts on your phone. You can initiate a call by selecting the contact you would like to call. The Call Type screen will load and display the call options. The Call Log window in the Mobitalker app displays calls that were placed through the Mobitalker app. You can select a number in the Call Log window and you will have the option to Call, which will initiate 6

7 the call to the number or the option Add to Contacts which will open up the native Add contact screen with the number input in the Phone field. Settings To access the Settings page of Mobitalker, press the Options button on your phone while in the Mobitalker app. Then, click on Settings. The settings page will display your account number, country code, and phone number. You can select Edit Account to change any of these options. 7

8 The settings screen also shows your call through region, language, and the various call types. To change these options select the specific option you wish to change. Call through Region If available, select the Region that is closest to your current location. This will set the local access number that is dialed when making a call using the Call through option. This option is set when you initially set your Country but can be changed from this location. Language Select your preferred language from the available languages in the drop down box. Call types i.e. VoIP (WiFi), VoIP (3G), Call through, and Ringback Check which call options you want available. By default all are on. Whichever option is not on will not display as an option when attempting to make a call through Mobitalker. 8
