There are no batteries to replace and the unit can perform >10,000 recharge cycles. This product can also operate in continuous GSM mode. An external Manganese Alkaline battery pack with a temperature range 0 C 45 C (32 113 F) and a typical 5 year battery life OR a Lithium Battery option for high temperature applications above 45 C and where 10 year battery life is essential. The battery can be changed-out without loss of logger contents, using a SuperCap to sustain the logger. Renewable energy (solar/wind power) The sun and wind can meet all our energy needs provided that we rationally exploit them.
