It validates that you have the skills and competencies to install and configure dynatrace components, integrate dynatrace in your application(s), monitor application performance and user experience, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues. This exam blueprint provides the content and context of the Application Monitoring and UEM Professional Certification. PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE While knowledge and experience with dynatrace is required to achieve this certification, examinees must also have working knowledge in the following areas: Familiarity with object-oriented programming: Java or.net Basic understanding of Service Oriented Application (SOA) Architectures (JEE and.net) Experience working with Application Servers, such as WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, IIS, etc. Browser data as it relates to debugging and transactions Basic system administration in Windows, Unix, VMware, etc. Basic understanding of database query optimization and troubleshooting Page 2
EXAM PREPARATION Application Monitoring and UEM Professional Certification is intended for APM professionals who have both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience with dynatrace. Examinees must demonstrate proficiency in both to pass the exam. In order to assist certification candidates with their exam preparation, we offer a combination of instructor-led training (ILT) sessions, and self-paced learning with APM University Online. EXAM FORMAT This exam is administered in two parts: Written Practical You must pass the written portion of the exam prior to sitting for the practical portion. The written and practical portions are administered in two separate sessions. You must complete the practical portion within three months of passing the written. WRITTEN EXAM The written portion of the certification is approximately 200 questions including both multiple-choice and multipleresponse items. Multiple-choice: Select one option from a list that best answers the question or completes the statement. Multiple-response: Select multiple options from a list to answer the question or complete the statement. Multiple-response test items are clearly identified. You will be given three and one half hours to complete the written portion of the certification. The written portion is 100% computer graded, with a passing score of 76%. No UEM data PRACTICAL EXAM The practical portion of the certification is a hands-on component requiring examinees to install dynatrace components and configure application injection in a heterogeneous Amazon Web Services environment. 15 to 30 minutes prior to the start of your scheduled exam, you will receive a link to the virtual environment from APMU.Labs@Compuware.com. Use remote desktop or the like to connect to the environment. Your proctor will enter the password to environment. You will also analyze stored session files to diagnose application performance and create business transactions. The practical portion of the exam consists of multiple choice questions and open response questions requiring examinees to submit screen captures of the configured environment. The open response items require manually grading, therefore examinees will receive results within 3 to 5 days of completing the practical portion of the exam. The passing score for the practical is 91%. You will be given three to complete the practical portion of the exam.
