2 INTRODUCTION The Application Monitoring Associate Certification validates that you have knowledge of the dynatrace infrastructure, data collection, modeling and visualization concepts. This exam blueprint provides the content and context of the Application Monitoring Associate Certification. Please review this blueprint in its entirety to gain a thorough understanding of exam expectations and requirements. AUDIENCE Candidates seeking Application Monitoring Associate Certification fall into one of the following categories: Dynatrace customers Dynatrace partners Dynatrace employees PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE While knowledge of Application Monitoring is required to achieve this certification, examinees must also have working knowledge in the following areas: Familiarity with object- oriented programming: Java or.net Familiarity with Service Oriented Application (SOA) Architectures Familiarity with Application Servers, such as WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, IIS, etc. Familiarity with processes in Windows, Unix, VMware, etc. Page 2

3 EXAM PREPARATION The Application Monitoring Associate Certification is intended for individuals who have theoretical knowledge and some hands- on experience with dynatrace. The combination of attending instructor- led training (ILT) classes, self- paced learning on APM University (APMU) online, self- study on the APM Community, and some basic hands- on experience will prepare the examinee for certification. We strongly recommend that the following milestones are achieved in preparation for the exam: Experience working with dynatrace in a small to medium installation (up to 20 agents) Participate in the Compuware APM Community ( including: o Product documentation o Knowledge base articles o Discussion forums o dynalearn webinars Attend instructor- led courses, which are available on request. Employees, please contact your manager or [email protected] Complete dynatrace Product Fundamentals self- paced courses available on APMU ( EXAM FORMAT The Application Monitoring Associate Certification is approximately 60 multiple choice items. Examinees have 60 minutes to complete the exam. The exam is 100% computer graded, with a passing score of 71%. SCHEDULING Certification exams are administered and proctored by Examity. We have partnered with Examity, an online proctoring service, to protect the value of the certification. By utilizing an online proctor there is no need to travel to a testing center. The exam can be taken on a computer, from almost any location. To schedule a dynatrace Associate exam, please log in to APMU and follow the certification icons. Once you have accepted the Compuware Certification Terms and Conditions, you can connect with Examity to schedule the exam. You must schedule the exam at least 24 hours in advance of the time in which you wish to take the exam.
