The AAT consists of three qualifications across three levels each qualification combines the latest industry knowledge with practical work experience, giving you the competitive edge. At Moore Stephens our AAT trainees start with the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, some of the modules include: accounts preparation; costs & revenues; indirect tax; professional ethics. Year two of the training contract will cover the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. Moore Stephens cover all first time costs for your AAT training (exams, materials and membership) and offer paid study and tuition leave. If you choose to continue studying after the AAT, you could be eligible to progress on to a Chartered Accounting Qualification ACCA or ACA where you may be eligible for exemptions. School leavers opportunities We are looking to recruit a number of AAT associates into different areas of the organisation, including: Corporate audit in this department you ll need an analytical mind as you join a pool of trainees who provide audit and accounting services to managers and partners. You will work with a broad range of clients covering a variety of sectors from financial services to technology companies and sports clubs. Governance, risk & insurance this team provides advice on a wide range of issues, including loss-reserving, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, litigation support and forensic accounting. Outsourcing provides clients with the full range of accounting and back office services, including bookkeeping, accounts preparation, management accounting, VAT compliance, forecasting and budgeting and any other ad hoc advice and assistance on accounting matters. A day in the life of an AAT associate I applied to study the AAT because the idea of going to university didn t appeal to me. Completing the AAT alongside a full-time job meant I could gain a qualification as well as relevant work experience. The AAT has lead me to go on and study for my ACCA qualification and I hope to be a fully qualified accountant within the next year. I currently work in the Business Support & Outsourcing department at Moore Stephens, where my time is spent preparing year end and monthly management accounts for owner managed businesses.
