For this reason we are excited to make you aware of a special opportunity and introduce you to Tri-Cities Leadership Training Program. The Tri-Cities Leadership Training Program is a cohort training program We are thankful to partner with which has proposed a Degree Completion Plan for a Masters in Church Ministries that will allow local church leaders and pastors to receive seminary training without needing to relocate. In addition to the seminary training the Tri-Cities Leadership Training Program cohort will also be exposed to experiential training and accountability as it relates to leadership and local church ministry. As stated Tri-Cities Leadership Training Program uses a cohort model. What is a cohort model? The term cohort the common purpose of training. Consequently, there are certain expectations set on cohort members. Cohort Expectations: * Exhibit character and conduct worthy of our calling in Christ Jesus * * Regularly communicate and participate in all cohort training sessions * Begin and maintain a diligent intent to complete the full program (Considerations must be made in * Cohort 1 Program Dates: Sept. 1, 2013 through May 15, 2015. Applications can now be submitted at tcbchurch.org, resources, forms. Once your application has been received you will be scheduled for an interview and basic Q&A. This process is considered exploratory from both parties. The cohort will be limited to 15 participants. All participants must have a bachelor s degree and be admitted to. If followed, it will allow the student to complete a Master of Arts degree in the Billy Graham School of Missions Evangelism and Ministry in as little as 2 years. Each of these classes will be consist of two days online interaction to complete each course. ** As planned, students will gather in Bristol for locally taught courses in the Spring of 2014 and 2015. These courses will be instructed by SBTS professors in intensive or hybrid formats. *** Field education courses allow students to earn two additional credit hours through the students current ministry. The reports and conclusion This program is intended to help students in Tri-Cities Leadership Training Program maintain full-time or part-time local church ministry positions while providing formal seminary training. This masters degree is available to students in Tri-Cities Leadership Training Program who apply and meet the admissions requirements for the desired degree program. page 2
Master of Arts in Church Ministries The MACM is a ministry practitioner s degree that prepares persons for a variety of supporting ministries in the local church or in Christian ministries. The program integrates theology with leadership studies and provides a broad curricular experience that includes missions, evangelism, worship, and worldview. Graduates of this program will be equipped to lead in several areas, including discipleship, youth and children s ministry, college ministry, women s ministry, and executive or denominational leadership.
