8 What is Dual Credit? Opportunity for students to earn college credit while in high school. High school students enroll in college courses early Learn in an advanced academic environment Course requirements are not adjusted Get a sneak peak at college Complete college credits early Students typically save money NEBC is offering an Early Scholars Program

9 Early Scholars Program Students graduate with their High School Diploma and a Certificate from NEBC with 24 transferrable college credits. Students take one class per semester for credit at NEBC beginning in the Sophomore year of High School. Two courses the Senior year. Program courses would be taught in the same section as NEBC courses. No course requirements would be adjusted. Students would be expected to perform at a college level.

18 Timing Fall Spring Freshman -- Introduction to College Sophomore Comp/Research Writing Grammar Junior GenEd Elective Computer Programming Senior Hermeneutics Revelation Probability & Statistics GenEd Elective Program would grow with the first class of students. Any Junior or Senior may take one of the courses offered as a Dual-credit class outside of the Early Scholars Program; however, they must meet Early Scholars admission requirements.

19 Application Process Students must participate in the Introduction to College class Students must be recommended by the Principle Students must meet 3.0 GPA requirement Students must pass an Early Scholars dual-credit English proficiency test created specifically for this program Payments are made at the beginning of the each semester Student must maintain a specified GPA
