3 From Daniel Montgomery & Dr. Timothy Paul Jones: This fall the Sojourn Network will launch a partnership that will enable you to earn a fully-accredited Master of Arts or Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary that s coordinated with Sojourn Network conferences and serminars. This fullyaccredited and church-integrated program is the only one of its kind. You will have the opportunity to learn from some of the top professors and practitioners in the country and to receive the best preparation available for further ministry service. These degree programs are for churches and members of Sojourn Network churches. In addition to providing a clear path to graduation, many courses in these degree programs will provide the option to learn from a SBTS professor who is also a Sojourner. Your entire degree will be coordinated with theological vision and practical experience to prepare you for effective and sustainable ministry. Many classes will happen locally in Louisville, through Sojourn Network conferences, JTerms, and special hybrid courses like Dr. Gregg Allison s Systematic Theology III course in August but there will be lots of online and off-campus conference opportunities as well. In the following pages you will see how the MA and M. Div are laid out and how each year of study builds on the one before. Our new Men s and Women s Leadership school will also be integrated with up to 18 credit hours that can be earned to fulfill essential degree requirements. This MA and M. Div are ideal degrees whether you live in Louisville, if you want to do some traveling to Louisville, or even if you re working on the degree with little to no time for travel. This is our inaugural year and we acknowledge it may be a messy transition at times but we are confident that each year this program will continue to grow in size, strength, and efficiency. This is a dream coming to fruition as we believe in church-integrated education with a robust theological vision that integrates your whole theological education with the gospel as the center, relationally grounded in one another, and a horizon of the whole world. So please, evaluate where you are in your degree program (or apply as a new student today) and see if a Master of Arts or Master of Divinity might be a perfect fit for you. For His Kingdom, Daniel Montgomery Dr. Timothy Paul Jones

8 Sojourn Leadership School At Sojourn Community Church you must be enrolled in Leadership school in order to take any of the three Integrative Seminars (Leadership, Outreach, Proclamation). The integrative seminars will including extra reading, online lectures, assignments, and four additional meetings during the semester. These will be cohort style with a local professor and Sojourn pastor to move into more depth in the various topics. We believe these integrative seminars are a key part of the Sojourn Network coordinated program so that your education is integrated with the local church. If you do not reside in Louisville but you are in a Sojourn Network congregation, you can still take the integrative seminars via distance and church-by-church arrangements will be made with your local pastor and developing a cohort experience among other students in your church. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but we are glad to make arrangements for your best educational situation. If you are a SBTS student and choose not to do the Sojourn Network coordinated program, than you may still take the integrative seminars but they will count as electives hours in your degree program. How to Enroll (including fees & tuition) To apply for the MA or M.Div coordinated with Sojourn Network, visit sbts.edu/apply. When applying, be sure to apply for the MA or M.Div in Leadership in the Billy Graham School of Missions, Ministry, and Evangelism.
