HIGH VALUE ECO-INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS

WHO ARE WE? PHYCOENERGY, a young company (established in 2012) in the ecoindustrial sector, whose aim is to sign, velop and implement technological and innovative processes for the extraction of value from industrial effluents, whether solid, liquid or gas, through the use of microalgae cultures Our approach is to velop production systems in such a way that they are fully integrated with existing industrial processes, and so provi economically viable solutions which optimise the industrial processes of our customers Our objectives are based on a strong respect for the way our customers run their businesses; at the same time, we monstrate an ongoing spirit of innovation and we invest in the protection of the environment by our actions in adding value to industrial waste materials through the use of natural organisms PHYCOENERGY is a subsidiary of PHYCOSOURCE, an innovative biotechnology company found in 2006 which specialises in the exploration and discovery of pharmaceutical and cosmetic biological active substances rived from microalgae

OUR BUSINESS ACTIVITIES 1 2 3 Our activities cover the full operational cycle of the processes which we have veloped on behalf of our clients, from the concept stage right through to putting the biomass produced on the market. Our activities therefore inclu : Design office for engineering and signing culture tools on an industrial scale Through production process engineering, with the objective of creating robust and environmentally responsible products to provi solutions which are viable in technical and economic terms, but also through our ability to cultivate pre-selected strains of microalgae Contract management for industrial implementation and ployment Based on a systemic approach integrated with and adapted to the operational conditions present on site, together with a vision which adds maximum value to industrial input and output Adding economic value to the biomass produced Through the sale of natural food ingredients - such as vegetable protein, vitamins and fatty acids - as well as the sale of natural ingredients for cosmetics and nutraceuticals - such as antioxidants and antimicrobials

OUR RESOURCES AND EXPERTISE Upstream, in the discovery phase, with: An ongoing capacity for innovation and for product renewal backed by PHYCOSOURCE s discovery platform as well as a range of existing application solutions; A broad portfolio of microalgal strains and collections of biomass, extracts and molecules of microalgae; A unique expertise in the whole of the business value chain: management of biodiversity (chemical, biological and chemotaxonomic knowledge bases), exploration of biodiversity (culture at a laboratory scale, chemical extraction and characterisation, characterisation of biological activity) and industrialisation (extrapolation of industrial processes from pilots of 500 to 1,000L, reactors for environmental simulations and downstream processes); At operational level, with: Microalgae culture solutions which are innovative, simple, robust and tested; An expertise in terms of bioprocess engineering and procedures; A current contract with an important customer in his sector for the installation of biomass production units adding value to their effluent A growing presence in animal livestock feed sector.

OUR RESOURCES AND EXPERTISE Across various functions, our policy relating to sustainable velopment, with:: Full use of the concept of bio-refineries, opening up access to value add objectives for all biomass and plant compounds, based on both economic and ecological consirations. Research into production solutions adding value to industrial effluents like CO² and water effluents without involving arable land; Research into processes for production, harvesting, extraction and purification which are soft and energy-saving, avoiding the use of polluting solvents or additives; Integration of life-cycle and carbon footprint analyses into veloped industrial processes. More generally, PHYCOENERGY is positioned at the heart of a very broad network of economic, scientific and acamic partners, as a result of its participation in international institutional programmes.

6 OUR CUSTOMERS AND OUR VALUE PROPOSITION NOS CLIENTS 1 En amont, les industries, quelles qu elles soient, Upstream, the En industries, amont, les in industries, whatever sector quelles they qu elles operate, soient, where chez microalgae et pour culture lesquelles units are sont and et will seront be installed, installés adding s unités value to culture current effluents: these microalgues companies capables see a potential venir reduction valoriser in les their effluents CO² emissions, existants and : ces at the industriels same time étant have confrontés value à add la réduction to their leurs other émissions effluents in an CO environmentally 2 tout en valorisant responsible manière way. éco-responsable leurs autres effluents. 2 Downstream, the economic stakeholrs in processing, such as food En ingredient aval, les acteurs producers économiques and purchasers of transformation, medium and high à l image add value s microalgal ingrédientistes, biomass acheteurs produced on biomasse a large scale microalgale and therefore à moyenne at low cost. et haute At the valeur end of the ajoutée supply produite chain, the à gran varied commercial échelle, et donc applications à bas for our coûts. biomass En bout are equally chaîne, of interest les applications to the energy commerciales sector with variées biofuels, the nos cosmetics biomasses and intéressent pharmaceuticals tout aussi sector bien with les the secteurs high-profile l énergie arrival of socalled avec les "natural" biocarburants, products la cosmétique (antibacterial, et antioxidants, le pharmaceutiques etc.), and avec the food l arrivée sector remarquées for both people s and produits animals dits (additives, «naturels colourings,» (antibactériens, proteins, fatty antioxydants, acids, etc.) even etc.), without l alimentation mentioning tant the animale explosion que humaine in biological products (additifs, in healthcare, pigments, both protéines, animal and acis human. gras, etc.), sans compter l explosion s produits biologiques dans la santé là aussi animale et humaine. By taking a position strongly in favour of sustainable velopment and green chemistry, PHYCOENERGY also guis and encourages its customers to adopt the same viewpoint, by promoting the use of microalgae as a solution to the major industrial problems which they face today

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS Our achievements relate not only to procedural and biological research, but also to the implementation and operational functioning of production processes, and finally to the exploitation for commercial purposes of the biomass produced. In a very substantial way we unrtake activities such as: Technical feasibility studies associated with industrial implementation; the drafting of working specifications and sign packages for integrated production measures; Biochemical analysis of the ability to cultivate micro-organisms with regard to the target implementation sites, coupled with an analysis of the opportunities for commercial and economic add value; Management and supervision of contracts and projects, from the manufacturing plant to ployment on site; Installation follow-up with the aim of providing not only full technical assistance but also financial, allied, where necessary, to the economic arrangements necessary for the management of the project throughout its duration. Just as with our techno-economic approach, our achievements have been based around the concept of integration, so that they serve the interests of our customers quickly and appropriately
