JOINT RESOURCES BRING WELL-BEING TO ALL Pohjolan Voima is all about joint resources. For 70 years, we have built energy solutions that combine our own strengths and competencies with those of our shareholders and extensive partner network. Electricity and heat for shareholders at cost price Pohjolan Voima s shareholders are also its customers: a wide range of Finnish industrial and energy companies. We produce and deliver electricity and heat at cost price, helping secure the success of our shareholders. Our operations create jobs and well-being for society as a whole. Pohjolan Voima s operations focus on hydropower, heat generation and nuclear power. Major investments in carbon-free production Pohjolan Voima is a major investor in the Nordic energy market. Since the turn of the millennium, we have invested a total of 4 million euro in carbon-free production capacity; 1.5 million euro of this has been directed at renewable energy sources. The share of our carbon-free production will increase from 80% to 90% in the near future. The cost price model is an efficient method of making energy investments.

Innovative energy solutions Pohjolan Voima actively finds, designs and implements energy solutions for the challenges of the future. We manage our power plants in a responsible manner throughout their operational lives. Examples of our advanced projects include - the unique Jumisko tunnel hydropower plant - the extensive bioenergy programme with the 15th plant commissioned in Hämeenkyrö in 2012 - Finland s first large-scale biogasifier, operated by Vaskiluodon Voima in Vaasa - safe and reliable Olkiluoto nuclear power plant units - our investments in the development of biocoal to replace traditional coal. Working together, looking forward We believe in open interaction and shared goals in all operations, management, stakeholder relations and social discourse. Respect for other people is the precondition of our future success.
