ERSU scholarships academic year 2016-17 To apply for scholarship, 1) International students living abroad must produce the following documents: the composition of the household unit (the conventional household unit of the student is composed of the applicant for benefits and all those who, even if not close relatives, appear in the family status on the date of the application). (see Example n.1) For each member of the household unit there must be recorded - total gross income (taxes included) received abroad in 2014 (see Example n.2) - houses and land (family real estate) owned abroad on 31 December 2015, with their purchase value (see Example n.3) - moveable assets (e.g. bank accounts, shares ) owned on 31 December 2015. (see Example n.4) Income and properties owned in Italy by the household unit must also be declared. The documentation must be issued by the authorities of the country in which the incomes are generated, the buildings are owned and the moveable assets are available, translated into Italian and validated by the official Italian Diplomatic Authorities for the territory. Examples of competent authorities: for the certification of the household (Town Hall of the city of residence, Municipality, City Council, Ministry of the Interior ) for the statement of income (Ministry of Finance, Departments or Financial Assessors of the Government Authority..) for the statement of real estate (Town Hall of the city of residence, Municipality, Land Office of the Territory, Federal Service for State Registration, Land Office and Cartography Office ) for the statement of property assets (Bank, Lending Institution) Any type of Self-Declaration or Affidavit, and documentation containing less than the required information are not valid and will not be accepted. (Article 6, paragraph 3 of the Plan for the Right to University Study in the Marche Region for the academic year 2016-2017). 2) International students coming from countries with particular difficulties in obtaining the aforementioned certificate, The documents can be produced by the local Italian Embassy, written in Italian and validated by the Prefecture in accordance with article 33, paragraph 4, of Presidential Decree December 28, 2000, no. 445. 3) Foreign students coming from the poorest countries as per UN yearly list (*) Certification issued by the Italian Diplomatic Authority in the home country attesting that the student does not come from a family known to have high income and high social status. (see example n. 5) Any certificate issued by an Embassy in Italy and any Self-Declaration (Affidavit) is not valid. (*) Afganistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambogia, Central African Rep., Chad, Comoros, Congo Dem. Rep., Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Kenya, Kiribati, Korea Dem. Rep., Kyrgyz Rep., Laos, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, Samoa, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Example n. 2: Certificate for the declaration of income (Letterhead of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Finance, Departments or Financial Assessors of the Government Authority ) It is certified that the income of Mr John Smith born on 20/02/1998, for the year 2014 was (country It is certified that the income of Mr Joseph Smith born on 10/02/1960, for the year 2014 was (country It is certified that the income of Mrs Mary Doe born on 26/04/1966, for the year 2014 was (country It is certified that the income of Mr Matthew Smith born on 19/07/2004, for the year 2014 was (country Note that: - the applicant can submit a statement for each member of the household or one statement for all members. - family members without income must also be declared.

Example n.3: Certificate for the declaration of real estate statement (buildings and land) (Letterhead of the Town Hall of the city of residence, Municipality, Land Office of the Territory, Federal Service for State Registration, Land Office and Cartography Office ) It is certified that Mr. John Smith born on 20/02/1998 owns: It is certified that Mr. Joseph Smith born on 10/02/1960 owns: It is certified that Mrs. Mary Doe born on 26/04/1966 owns: It is certified that Mr. Matthew Smith born on 19/07/2004 owns: Alternatively It is certified that Mr. John Smith born on 10/02/1970 does not own any real estate Note that: - the applicant can submit a statement for each member of the household or one statement for all members. - family members who do not own any real estate must also be declared.

Example n.4: Certificate for the declaration of moveable assets (bank accounts, shares, etc.) (Letterhead of Bank, Lending Institution ) It is certified that Mr. John Smith born on 20/02/1998 is holder of: 1) bank deposit with value at 31/12/2015 of (country currency symbol) ----------; 2) shares with value at 31/12/2015 of (country currency symbol) -----------; 3) etc.

Example n. 5: Certificate for the declaration of the income situation of a student coming from particularly poor countries (Letterhead of the Italian Diplomatic Representative in the home country) It is certified that Mr. John Smith born on 20/02/1998 does not come from a family known to have high income and high social status.
