Medical School Requirements MAT 175: Calculus I (4 credits) MAT 176: Calculus II (4 credits) *BIO 400: Biological Chemistry (4 credits) or CHE 444: Biochemistry I (4 credits) *PSY 166: General Psychology (3 credits) *SOC 166: Fundamentals of Sociology (3 credits) *These courses are not required for medical schools, but are tested on the MCAT. Thus, it is to your best interest to take these courses. Recently, several medical schools have added biochemistry as a requirement or strongly recommended course. Taking either BIO 400 or CHE 444 will satisfy this.

Dental School Requirements Mathematics (calculus and/or statistics) is not required at most dental schools, but is often recommended. You should contact individual schools to see if mathematics is required. If your major is one of the natural sciences (ex, biology, chemistry, or physics) you will be required to take one year of calculus.

Pharmacy School Requirements BIO 181: Anatomy & Physiology I (4 credits) BIO 182: Anatomy & Physiology II (4 credits) *BIO 230: Microbiology (4 credits) MAT 175: Calculus I (4 credits) MAT 176: Calculus II (4 credits) *BIO 400: Biological Chemistry (4 credits) or CHE 444: Biochemistry I (4 credits) [strongly recommended] PSY 166: General Psychology (3 credits) ECO 166: Introduction to Macroeconomics (3 credits) *Students who are majoring in biology should take BIO 331 (Experimental Microbiology) to satisfy the requirement of microbiology. This is advisable since BIO 230 is not credited as a course under the biology major.

Physician Assistant School Requirements The following list of requirements represents a general list of courses required by PA schools and shouldn t be used as a template for every school. It is in your best interest to research each school of your interest to understand which specific courses from the list below are required and any additional courses that may be needed. It is best to look at individual schools of your choice to see if precalculus is required. You can receive elective credit for MAT 172 if you are major is Exercise Science: PT track. Recommended 200 level courses include PSY 217 (Child Psychology) or PSY 234 (Abnormal Psychology). In addition, see PT schools for recommended upper level psychology courses.
