FAQs For change of service Welcome The transition is complete. From now on if you have any billing inquires or need assistance please call our customer service call center at 863-496-1770. KUA is no longer handling your account. We have created some FAQs you may find helpful. Q1. Why did this change take place? A1. In 2003, was created as a regional water utility provider and partnered with KUA to manage its customer service and billing related functions. In 2011, Toho Water Authority made a decision to invest in a customer service and billing system that would allow it to provide all these services which have been handled by KUA. Toho Water Authority and KUA have worked diligently to make this transition as smooth as possible for our customers. Q2. What changes will I experience? A2. All contact information for customer service inquiries and billing questions will change to along with the look of your bill statement and your payment options. Q3. What will happen once I receive my final bill from KUA? A3. You will begin receiving your bills from Toho Water Authority. Q4. Will my bill due date change? A4. Your billing due date will be the same or within 5 days of your current due date. Q5. What payment options will provide? A5. offers a variety of ways for you to pay your water bill. Here you are able to make a one-time payment or create an account to either schedule a payment or have your bill paid, automatically. Q8. Will my bank draft still work? A8. No, your bank draft setup with KUA will close. In order to make payments to using your bank account, you will need to set up a new account once you receive your water bill from us. Q9. Will I still be penalty exempt? A9. Yes, as long as has proper documentation, your previous agreement with KUA will be honored. Q10. Is my medical essential form still valid? A10. Yes, as long as has proper documentation, your previous agreement with KUA will be honored. Q11. What happens to my deposit? A11. Your deposits will transfer to and remain on your account. Q12. I have a second account with both electric and water why isn t that one changing? A12. The transition is happening in two stages. The first stage of the transition is for accounts that only receive a water bill from KUA. The remaining accounts, who are billed by KUA for water and electric services will transition to Toho Water Authority in the second stage which is anticipated in 2016. Q13. Below we have listed what you can expect to find on your bill and what is means. A sample bill with the pertaining numbers listed below is on the reverse side. We re only a phone call away 863-496-1770 1: ACCOUNT NUMBER Use this 18 digit number whenever you contact us about your account. 2: METER NUMBER The unique number assigned to your water meter. 3: READ TYPE A system generated code. WT = Water Meter 4: PREVIOUS METER READ AND CURRENT METER READ Provides a record of your water usage since the last bill. 5: WATER USAGE The change in water usage from the Previous Meter Read and Current Meter Read. 6: CHARTS Let s you compare your water and irrigation usage over a period of time. 7: PREVIOUS BALANCE AND PAYMENTS This corresponds to outstanding balances and payments made prior to current statement. 8: CURRENT TRANSACTIONS: This is your fixed usage charge per each 1,000 gallons (TGAL) of water, wastewater, irrigation and/or reclaimed water used during the present billing cycle multiplied by the corresponding consumption charge, plus a fixed monthly base charge. 9: OTHER AGENCIES CHARGES Your statement also contains certain fees and taxes charged by the state and local government agencies. 10: CURRENT TRANSACTION TOTAL This equals the sum of Current Transactions and Other Agencies Charges 11: TOTAL AMOUNT DUE This is your monthly total payment information which is the sum of Current Transaction Total and the Balance Forward. 12: DUE DATE Payment is due in our office on or before this date. 13: LATE CHARGE Fee for payments received after the Due Date.
