The Contractor is responsible for all matters relating to fabrication, shipping, handling, storage, assembly, installation, testing, startup, all aspects related to safety and coordination of subcontractors. 1

2 NO. COMMENT Aggregate for mortar shall meet ASTM C144 and aggregate for grout shall meet ASTM C404. Mix design denotes ASTM C33 for both. Agros submitted a letter dated 10/30/14 confirming these requirements. Approved as Noted Mortar shall be type S. Data for type N submitted. Agros submitted a letter dated 10/30/14 confirming these requirements. Approved as Noted Submittal includes data for material that is not called for in the Concrete Unit Masonry specification. Remove such items in the next submittal. Data submitted appears to be conflicting, it notes ASTM C404 in one sheet while noting ASTM C33 in another sheet. Agros submitted a letter dated 10/30/14 confirming these requirements. Approved as Noted The color selection for the digester electrical building shall be CABANA. 4 On November 3 rd, 2014 we are switching to ARGOS Command Batch System so our mix numbers are changing. In the attachment above, Page one is our CAB mix number submittal. Page 2 is the new cover letter for the COMMAND Submittal for the concrete mixes. Page 3 is the cross reference CAB to the COMMAND mix numbers cross reference submittal (it identifies the old mix number and shows the new mix number). Response to Engineers concerns: No#1: Mix # FC65GD & J2059 are cell fill mixes (fine & course cell fill) not mortar and mortar grout mixes which was identified in the description on our Submittal Cover Letter. That is why ASTM C33 Standard Specifications for Concrete Aggregate was referenced for the concrete sand and 3/8 limestone and not ASTM C144 Specifications for Aggregate for Masonry Mortar & ASTMC 404 Specifications for Aggregates for Masonry Grout.. No#2: Type N Color Mortar Certification has been removed and a Type S Color Mortar Certification has been added. No#3: Note # 1 might have cleared this concern up. No#4: CMU Color Cabana noted.
