Introduction SAUDI FOUNDATIONS & CONCRETE PROCESSING Co. LTD (Saudi Foundations) has been created to provide complete Ground Contracting Solutions and Geotechnical Contracting Services to the construction industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Countries. Saudi Foundations is owned by A.N. Albinali (KSA), Dutch Foundations (UAE) and TERGU SAL (Lebanon). Since 1989, TERGU and DUTCH FOUNDATION have been active in executing Soil Improvement and Specialized Geotechnical jobs for contractors, consultants, private and government agencies in the Middle East, Eastern European countries and the Gulf Countries. Saudi Foundations is affiliated with: Abu Dhabi: Dutch Foundation Dubai: Dutch Foundation Qatar: Dutch Foundation Bahrain: Dutch Foundation Iraq: Dutch Foundation Lebanon: TERGU Armenia: Terra Drill Intl. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Ahmad N. Albinali This Brochure outlines the Current Capacity of Saudi Foundations in providing Design Assistance to consultants and specialized geotechnical and soil improvement works to contractors and developers. Supported by a wide range of marine and field equipment, Dutch Foundation and Saudi Foundations are becoming amongst the most capable and specialized contracting groups in the fields of Ground Improvement and Geotechnical Contracting in the Middle East. Saudi Foundations is an expert in the following fields: Cast in Situ bored piles (vertical/raked) Continuous Flight Auger CFA Piles Driven Cast in Situ Piles Driven precast piles Sheet piling Secant pile wall Diaphragm wall Concrete Rehabilitation Trench Sheeting Marine Jetties Complete foundation design & construction. Should you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Respectfully submitted, Ziad S.Dumyati General Manager
Diaphragm Walls Saudi Foundations owns and operates Three Hydro-Face Cutters, in addition to a large number of hydraulic and mechanical clamps for Diaphragm wall construction. With the use of these equipment, Saudi Foundations and Dutch Foundation have the ability to perform the deepest excavations. The width of the diaphragm wall can range between 600mm up to 1200mm, and can extend to depth reaching 50.0m (and more in some cases).
Design & execution of shoring Systems While designing a shoring system for a deep excavation or a permanent design for soil stability, Saudi foundations Designers use highly accurate softwares and internationally renowned standards. Design and Execution of complete shoring systems needs highly experienced engineers and Project Managers who can combine structural elements into a complex system that will retain a particular excavation until the basements are constructed.
Foundation Piles Whether driven or bored, vertical or racked, steel or concrete, our hydraulic hammers and rotary drill rigs are able to construct these piles in the highest precision available. The bored piles are drilled by advancing large diameter casings and then emptying the drilled material using buckets and/or augers. Our drilling equipment has the ability to construct piles having a diameter of 450mm upto 2000mm and with depths reaching 70.0m. Saudi Foundations owns and operates 10 drilling rigs, 15 cranes and relevant number of vibratory hammers and support equipment. We have the ability to increase the number of equipment at any time, in accordance with your project requirements. Even if this means to import from nearby sister companies.
Bored Piling Saudi Foundations Operates rotary bored piling machines capable of constructing cast insitu pile of diameters ranging from 450mm to 2000mm with depth up to 60.0m. Rotary bored piles with telescopic friction and locking Kelly bars allow high speed boring in cohesive materials or high torque drilling for rocks. Without temporary casing, piles can be constructed in non-water bearing clays and soft rocks. With temporary casing and using a dry-boring method, piles can be constructed through water bearing or unstable strata. On reaching the designed depth a pre-formed reinforcing cage is introduced, concrete is placed in the bore and brought up to the required level at which point temporary casing is withdrawn. The installation and extraction of the casing is done using Vibratory Hammers or by the rig itself.
Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) Saudi Foundations operates a large fleet of dedicated CFA rigs together with additional dual purpose hydraulic rigs. Diameters range from 450mm up to 800mm and depth of up to 21 metres can be achieved. The CFA technique is appropriate for most ground conditions including soft rock, but becomes particularly economical in non-cohesive sands, gravels or silts where otherwise long casings or drilling fluids would be required. CFA Technique CFA piles are drilled to the required depth using a hollow stem continuous flight auger. High slump concrete is then pumped under pressure through the stem whilst the auger is withdrawn at a controlled rate. As the spoil is removed a shaft of fluid concrete is formed up to ground level. The reinforcing cage is then introduced through the wet concrete.
Vibro stone columns Vibro displacement stone columns are a technically accepted and economical method of enhancing fill material and weak soils to improve their load bearing and settlement characteristics. The construction process involves introducing a vibrating poker or driving a vibrating mandrill to penetrate to a designed depth, and then filling the resulting cavity with layers of inert stone or recycled material. The vibrator is reintroduced to the cavity, forcing each layer of stone into the surrounding ground creating confining pressure and densified columns of support. In granular material this densification creates an improvement in settlement control and bearing capacity. In cohesive materials the overall effect is one of reinforcement and settlement control. Stone column technique in different stages
Dynamic Compaction This technique is a method of ground improvement for improving 'underconsolidated' or 'man-made fill'. Treating such strata with Dynamic Compaction will ensure uniformity and improved bearing capacity and settlement control. Compaction is typically used on granular sites and consolidation for use on cohesive fill or moisture susceptible environments. This technique reduces the need for deep foundations and therefore helps to reduce overall cost and the cost of site disposal. It is particularly beneficial on large areas, or where pre-bored stone columns may be required. Soil Stabilization
