1. Platform Scriptura Engage enables you to get the maximum value out of any kind of customer communication; whether it is based on printed output, an online application, email, social media or any other tool. Scriptura Engage helps organizations by providing a single, central platform to manage and optimize all customer communications. All within intuitive graphical interfaces, so no programming is needed to add or change existing output processes. This results in significantly reduced time-tomarket if you want to add new communication channels or change existing processes. 1.1. Scriptura Engage Designer Design templates using an intuitive graphical design environment. Compose complex output templates with rich graphical features, define business logic and specify production characteristics without programming. The design environment also allows designing intelligent electronic forms, mobile applications and output processes. Scriptura Engage Designer features: MULTILINGUAL COMMUNICATIONS: The multilingual capabilities of Scriptura Engage allow users to define an unlimited number of languages in one template. The layout and business rules of a template need to be designed only once, it s just the contents of the text blocks that need to be altered for each language in the template. The actual language that is used to produce output is decided upon at runtime, depending on data that is provided or depending on the preferences of a customer. REUSABLE OBJECTS: Reusable objects are specific templates that can be included in other templates. Typical examples of reusable objects are headers, footers, general conditions and address blocks. The reusable object can be protected, so only certain users can make changes. And when changes are made, an updated version of the reusable object is automatically incorporated into the templates that use it. All capabilities of the Scriptura Designer can be used to design reusable objects: dynamic images, data fields, styles, conditional logic, tables and more. RELEASE AND ASSET MANAGEMENT Template management is provided by integrating your repository in the Scriptura Designer. All assets, like templates, images and document flows, are automatically under version control. Users will have access to the history of all versions of an asset, assign or setup tags, branches or labels or collaborate with other users on the same asset. Scriptura can also link to an external LDAP server for full access control. TEMPLATE DESIGN The Scriptura Engage Designer is a graphical design environment that allows business users to design templates. It contains all the features needed to create a fully personalized customer experience: images, styles, charts, nested tables, color, barcodes, reusable objects, multilingual capabilities, business rules, conditional logic, data fields and much more. STYLES (MULTI-BRANDING) Scriptura Styles can be used to manage the look and feel of outgoing communications according to the requirements of the marketing department. This is done separate from the actual template formatting. If multiple brands are used, each with their own style, separate styles objects can be defined for each style and applied at output production time. INTERACTIVE DOCUMENT COMPOSITION In some business processes it can be important to tailor certain documents to the exact needs of a customer, like including a personalized offering in a proposal. As an organization you want to make it possible to make these relevant changes to standard communications, but you also want to remain in control of what is added or removed. INPUT DATA SOURCES Scriptura supports a number of data types out of the box, to create templates with: XML, text or spooled files and database. One can even mix multiple data types in one template, if needed. If this does not suffice, there are custom steps available for document flow to provide conversions from data formats that are not directly supported to for example XML. BUSINESS RULES AND CONDITIONAL LOGIC Add conditional logic and business rules to output templates, to control the behavior and inclusion or exclusion of specific parts and content. Conditions are added using a wizard, so even business users can add business rules. No programming is needed. DOCUMENT FLOW DESIGN With Document Flow users can design an entire output process, from the initial trigger starting it, receiving data, merging templates with data to create pages, adding business rules, adding content to pages and splitting or sorting pages and creating specific output streams that can be delivered to a series of channels like email, print, archive, SMS, web etc. Document flows are designed in the Scriptura Engage Designer and look like flow charts, making it very intuitive to work with. 1.2. Scriptura Engage Document Platform (Server) The Scriptura Engage server is a strategic customer communications management platform that produces output for all your business units. Integration with existing CRM, ERP, DMS, ECM, CMS and other business applications is easy. Scriptura Engage provides both on demand, interactive and batch output production from the same server platform. The differences between these are mostly related to the size of the data, how the data is provided, the moment output is processed and delivered and the way that information is returned to a user. From any Administrator one can control and monitor all servers in the network, regardless of their type: Management Servers, Front End Servers and Process Servers. 1.2.1. Integration Next to the basic integration functionality we offer additional components that facilitate integrating via specific connectors. Scriptura Engage provides a number of industry standards and open standard interfaces out-of-the-box to ease integration with other systems. Scriptura Engage provides many data preparation functions on input data. One can even retrieve extra data by calling web services or retrieving database data. JMS CONNECTIVITY Both in large as small enterprises, many challenges exist when integrating various services and data. In many cases enterprise architectures use an enterprise service bus, enterprise application integration system, message broker or large scale enterprise application. Now Scriptura Engage contains out of the box support for integrating with many of those message queue systems which makes integration even faster than before. In addition to JMS queues, support for sending and receiving messages for JMS topics is also included. AS/400 CONNECTIVITY This module allows you to interface with applications and data sources on the AS/400 (iseries, System i ), while Scriptura Engage is installed in a Windows/Linux/ environment. 1.2.2. Composition When you need more than PDF-output, the following modules offer additional output formats. PRINT FORMATS This module allows you to generate the following formats: PS, PCL and AFP. These are typical print formats for large environments. In smaller environments it may be possible that you prefer PDFprinting, in which case this option is not necessary. DIGITAL FORMATS This module allows you to generate the following formats: RTF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, HTML (optimized for email, electronic forms or regular HTML). ARCHIVE FORMATS This module allows you to generate the following formats: PDF/A, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, SVG. This option is required when comparing Scriptura templates. 1.2.3. Processing Design your output processes, define production characteristics, keep track of the execution and report to your internal organization. SCANNED DOCUMENT COMPARE Document comparison that allows you to compare the original document with a scanned version of the document. Example: can be used to compare an incoming signed contract and its original outgoing version for unauthorized changes. Changes are highlighted in a visual way. OUTPUT CONTROL Compare two versions of a template in TIFF format. This module is used for regression testing. AFP INPUT This module allows you to pick up streams of AFP coming from any source or application to facilitate processing by Scriptura Server (adding barcodes, sorting, splitting, tracking ). 1.2.4. Interaction LIVEDOCS LiveDocs offers your users a controlled editing environment that allows users to interactively personalize communications, while enforcing consistent use of approved content within brand guidelines. This drastically reduces administrative labor and helps increasing brand consistency. Typically an on-demand flow receives an online request, including data, and returns the result immediately in a synchronous way (for example a PDF output). This can then be visualized by the calling application. Documents can be generated on the fly by Scriptura Engage and printed/sent or returned to the user immediately. ELECTRONIC FORMS Interacting with your customers through the use of electronic forms is an indispensable part of your communication strategy. Electronic forms are typically programmed and maintained by the IT department. This requires a lot of expensive development resources. And because the layout of these forms is mostly static, they do not provide the best possible customer experience. Electronic forms allow designing and deploying intelligent electronic forms that integrate perfectly with your applications. You can deploy and process dynamic electronic forms. Browser based deployment, so no separate software is needed. Processing a forms request requires 1 credit. Scriptura Engage allows using XML data with an optional XML schema (or XSD file). The schema contains all the semantic rules of the XML data: what elements are required, whether they should contain numeric or alphanumeric data, a date or a time, how many elements (minimum and maximum) should be provided in lists etc. EMAIL info@inventivegroup.com www.inventivedesigners.com 11 16

1.2.5. Multichannel Multi-channel management allows you to predefine different delivery scenarios based on business rules or customer preferences. It monitors reactions from all delivery channels (e.g. inbox monitoring, bounce handling, tracking) to verify whether a specific communication was delivered properly or not. In case of failure the predefined delivery scenario picks a next-best-action to get the information to the customer via another channel. SEND EMAIL: This feature allows organizations to send emails directly from a Scriptura output process. Most parameters can be provided dynamically: Subject, From name and address, To name and address (multiple if needed), CC and BCC recipients. You can send an email directly using an SMTP server or use a separate broker service to send out the emails. EMAIL TESTING: When communicating by email, it is difficult to retain a consistent look-and-feel in different email clients. A communication looking good on one email client does not always look the same on another email client. Organizations should test their emails on different email clients before sending them. Email testing is a Scriptura Engage Designer plugin that generates screenshots of your email for different email clients. This module is used to test the look-and-feel of your emails in different environments. This is a subscription based option, with a yearly fee. SEND SMS OR TEXT MESSAGES: Text messages are used more and more to communicate with customers. Scriptura Engage enables users to produce and send text messages directly from an output process. Immediately sending out personalized SMS or text messages from your applications, allows reaching customers on their cell phones or smart phones. This can be a very efficient and cost-effective way of communicating. Service organizations may use this to remind customers of appointments with a technician or representative or to let them know that a contract or invoice is waiting for them. SEND SOCIAL MEDIA MESSAGE: Social media is the new electronic way of communications: many trend watchers are claiming that email is dead, or will be dead soon. Youngsters only make an email account to be able to sign in to social media websites, such as Facebook. Once they have their Facebook account, they hardly ever check their email. This module allows you to generate social media messages and distribute them in the appropriate channel. Current channels include: Twitter, Facebook. MULTI-CHANNEL MANAGEMENT: Multi-channel management allows you to predefine different delivery scenarios based on business rules or customer preferences. It will also monitor reactions from all delivery channels (e.g. inbox monitoring, bounce handling, tracking) to verify whether a specific communication was delivered properly or not. MOBILE: This feature allows you to design and deploy communications for mobile devices. These communications can be static or interactive. An example is interactive statements, where the customer can navigate through his account history. Scriptura Engage Mobile also allows designing and deploying electronic forms that need to be completed and submitted on a mobile device, like creating a personalized sales offer or completing an inspection. Using device related features, like camera, GPS is supported. And by using the mobile app framework, the communications you design with Scriptura Engage can easily be incorporated into your corporate mobile apps. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS: Pushing a notification to a mobile device is a cheap and efficient way to get your customer's attention for a short timeframe. Organization can use push notifications to remind customers of an unpaid invoice or of an appointment. With Scriptura Engage, these notifications can be integrated into the overall communication strategy. PREFERENCE MANAGEMENT Scriptura Engage Preference Management can intelligently retrieve targets or segments from a group of people (retrieved from CRM or other backend databases) and identify correct schedules for each group. This can be based on characteristics, like age, interest or geography. It will then assign relevant communication schedules that comply with a customer s individual preferences. RESPONSE MANAGEMENT Response Management enables monitoring the status of messages once they have been sent. This component offers a lot of functionality. Bounce messages may be detected and registered and a next best action may be executed. Organizations can register when certain (landing) pages are visited or images are loaded that were included in emails. And when falling back to paper mail, a message can be included at the bottom of the page to inform the recipient that was tried sending on a specific email address, and that this might need to be updated at a certain URL. 1.2.6. Facility TRACKING Tracking lets you implement a full-fledged multichannel automated document factory and enables closed loop processing. You can verify that for every input record, output was created and delivered, you can monitor the output facility, as well as provide some control to operators such as validation, reprinting, restarting jobs etc. It allows you to create, update, retrieve and delete tracking information and can be inserted in existing document flows. EVENT FLOW Event flow is used to orchestrate processes. When communicating via multiple channels, and especially via email, SMS or social media, there is a need to monitor what happens with the communication that companies send out, and what should happen when certain events occur: an invalid email address, a full mailbox, a mobile phone number that is no longer active etc. Event flow works closely together with document flow and will allow you to keep states, react on events and generate new tasks. Event flow is extremely powerful when used to predefine different multi-channel delivery scenarios, but can be used for general processes, like approval workflow creation, as well. Initializing an event flow is accounted for as one credit. 1.2.7. Secure INTELLISTAMP IntelliStamp makes you transform paper processes into effective digital processes. It allows you to sign documents with a hybrid signature, which guarantees authenticity of those documents in paper as well as digital form. This module is subject to a separate pricing. DIGITAL SIGNING: Sign your electronic documents with a digital signature before emailing them to your customers or before making them available for download.
