Infomobility Regional Plan (PRIM 2008) It promotes: A global vision and a programming action at regional scale in order to give organicity to all possible ITS technical solution in the field of freight and passengers mobility Coordination of subjects and ITS activities in regional area in order to maximise effectiveness and to obtain economies of scale. Product and Process Innovation in Public Admistration and in the market. 2

Infomobility Regional Plan (PRIM 2008) ITS as one of the key factors for a sustainable and smart mobility system which combines territorial attractiveness and competitiveness needs with reduction of the impacts of freights and persons transportation (environemental and socio-economic including road-safety) 3

PRIM Implementation ITS tools in Regione Piemonte Realization of a public open platform, in partnership with private sector, which performs: Data harvesting, processing and fusion Supplying of cross-wise common services and open, interdisciplinary and certified data, in order to warrant interoperability and to avoid duplication of applicative solutions Public interest services developed by public or private organizations in the field of Local Public Transportation, motorized private transport, sustainable mobility and freight transport 4

TOC-Field regional traffic sensor network The installation of the first 56 traffic sensors on most important provincial roads is ongoing Togheter with classical traffic sensor on roads, the traffic supervisor can rely on: Floating Car Data (FCD) from various sources (smartphone, insurance black-box, etc.) Cellular Floating Car Data (CFCD) from mobile telephone calls 10

SII-TPL integrated informative system for TPL A Region-wide system for: Transit Services planning Measure and control performance Supply information to users Since mid-90s, Regione Piemonte has developed a system (OMNIBUS) to collect informations (timetable, stop-points, etc..) regarding Local Transport Services and organizing data in a unique regional data-base. Now, thanks to introduction of BIP which will provide ticketing and real-time data, the system will be upgraded according to the most important european standards (Transmodel, Netex, SIRI). 13

SII-TPL integrated informative system for TPL Thanks to the presence of a unique data-base of Public Transport Services, it s easy to supply information services region-wide: www.regione.piemonte.it/infomobilita/index.htm Pronto TPL multimodal public transport travel planner, available on web and callcenter Movibyte System for display multimodal timetables at most important interchange nodes. Also available as app for smartphone and desktop widget Web-GIS Trasporti tool to consult interactively the data-base of TPL 14

ITS Complementary actions Alongside with main projects in ITS field Regione Piemonte has developed some complementary actions and tool which complete the framework for a sustainable mobility: Catasto Strade Road Cadaster, detailed data base of most important provincial roads Regional Road Safety Monitoring Center which collects and organizes road accidents data for statistical purposes Regional Network for precision positioning a system for augmenting GPS precision and accuracy 15
