Viessmann Vitocell: comprehensive storage range for customized system solutions This year, Viessmann will be launching DHW cylinders onto the market which are categorized in the highest rating for cylinders, efficiency class A, thanks to their innovative highly-efficient thermal insulation, as per the Energy Labeling Directive (ErP Directive). Moreover, almost all DHW cylinders up to a volume of 500 liters are available with energy label B. ISH 2015 will also see Viessmann premiering: - The new dual-mode DHW cylinder Vitocell 100-W with energy efficiency label A, which displays all storage data such as charge level or temperature stratification in the energy cockpit for gas condensing boiler Vitodens 300-W with the new Vitotronic 200 control unit. - The heating water buffer cylinder Vitocell 140-E and Vitocell 100-E with a 400- and 600-liter cylinder capacity.

Vitocell 100-V and 100-W: DHW cylinders with efficiency labels A and B Viessmann will be offering its Vitocell DHW cylinder up to a volume of 500 liters with efficiency label B as standard before the European Energy Labeling Directive actually comes into force on September 26, 2015. Thermal insulation around the cylinder will also be increased by up to 20 millimeters in parts. As a result, standby losses from the cylinder will be lower while homeowners will benefit from low energy costs. What's more, DHW cylinders are also being launched onto the market which feature additional thermal insulation consisting of vacuum panels. These cylinders achieve energy efficiency class A, making them the highest category for this product group. Top efficiency rating thanks to innovative thermal insulation The new, extra thermal insulation for DHW cylinders consists of lamellar panels with a ceramic support structure. The support structure is encased in a gas- and vapor-tight plastic film which has been vacuum sealed. Thanks to the vacuum, thermal conductivity is very low and thermal insulation far more effective than with conventional insulation materials. This is why these Vitocell DHW cylinders are categorized in efficiency class A, the highest possible category. Easy handling and installation The additional thermal insulation provided by the thin vacuum panels does not change the outer dimensions. These cylinders are thus just as easy to transport and install as cylinders with conventional insulation. The vacuum panels are completely maintenance-free throughout their entire service life.

Safe DHW generation DHW cylinders in the 100 series Vitocell 100-V in Vitosilver and the 100-W in white are made of steel and contain an internal heating element to transfer the heat from the boiler or heat pump to the drinking water. The CeraProtect enamel coating protects against corrosion and ensures that the heated drinking water is always perfectly safe. A magnesium anode, included in the scope of delivery, or a maintenance-free impressed current anode (accessory) helps to provide corrosion protection for surfaces. Vitocell 100-W (CVUC-A): system cylinder with perfect control of fill level The new dual-mode DHW cylinder Vitocell 100-W (CVUC-A) is designed as part of an intelligent system cylinder since the fill level can be controlled precisely at all times in the energy cockpit with its animated photo-realistic graphics when this cylinder is combined with wall-mounted gas condensing boiler Vitodens 300- W and the new Vitotronic 200 control unit. This ensures transparency regarding solar heat yields over recent days, weeks, or months. Cylinder with efficiency label A Featuring a CeraProtect enamel coating to provide protection against corrosion, the new Vitocell 100-W is a 300-liter, stainless steel DHW cylinder which supplies pure, non-contaminated hot water at all times. Thanks to its highly effective thermal insulation with vacuum panels, the cylinder will be rated in efficiency class A from September 2015. It is also already fully equipped to be quickly and easily integrated into a solar thermal system for DHW generation: Solar-Divicon with a speed-controlled, high-efficiency pump in line with energy label A requirements, piping, fill valve, air separator, and four temperature sensors are integrated into a housing which is attached to the storage cylinder. Detailed information on fill level If the system cylinder is combined with wall-mounted gas condensing boiler Vitodens 300-W, homeowners and trade professionals can obtain detailed information on cylinder processes from the controller color display: cylinder fill level, temperature distribution, and temperature profiles are shown on easy-to-understand graphic screens. Solar yields are recorded

more precisely than with conventional cylinders. On request, temperature profiles and solar yields can be displayed in color bar charts over periods of one day, one week, 12 months, or two years. Homeowners thus receive information on their usage habits while trade professionals can use the detailed information to optimize system operation, particularly for comparisons on a yearly or two-yearly basis. Electronic guide for easy start-up procedures The integrated start-up assistant in the Vitotronic 200 control unit for the gas condensing boiler helps the fitter with the initial start up procedure for both Vitocell 100-W and the system as a whole. The assistant starts automatically when the heat generator is switched on for the first time and detects all connected system components. This process also automatically determines whether the solar thermal system flow and tank connections have been fitted correctly during installation and emits an appropriate message on the display. Vitocell 140-E and 100-E: heating water buffer cylinders in new cylinder size Heating water buffer cylinders Vitocell 100-E and Vitocell 140-E are highly versatile energy storage cylinders for systems with one or more heat generators. The range is now being extended to include new cylinder sizes of 400 and 600 liters and a special design for Vitocell 140-E to be combined with micro CHP systems. Vitocell 100-E and 140-E Vitocell 100-E and Vitocell 140-E are heating water buffer cylinders designed for use with solar thermal systems, heat pumps, and solid fuel boilers. Vitocell 140-E also features an integrated heat exchanger coil in its lower cylinder section and an attached Solar-Divicon (for 400 l). This means that there is no need to connect an external loading circuit with a plate-type heat exchanger and pump if solar collectors are to be connected. Supplied as an accessory, the fresh-water modules Vitotrans 353 can be mounted directly on both these cylinder types to provide fast, non-contaminated DHW generation. The continuous-flow water heater design ensures fresh hot water is available at all times. Available to fit to cylinders with a maximum tap flow rate of 25 and 48 liters per minute, they offer DHW convenience, can also be retrofitted, and match cylinders in their design. Up to seven flow and tank connections on both cylinders make it easy to install hydraulic connections for a number of heat generators. High-grade, surrounding thermal insulation made of polyester fiber ensures little heat loss.

Vitocell 140-E The heating water buffer cylinder Vitocell 140-E is a special model which is designed to be combined with the micro CHP unit Vitotwin 300-W. Its integrated heat exchanger coil is very large with a transfer surface of 2.1 square meters, which provides highly effective heat transfer from the micro CHP unit to the 400 liters of heating water in the cylinder. Highly effective thermal insulation made of polyester fiber guarantees low standby losses.
