About the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy The Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy was created in 1984 in recognition of the need for an academic forum to study the burgeoning field of health law and to foster a dialogue between the legal and health care professions. Since that time, the Beazley Institute has grown to offer one of the most comprehensive and respected health law programs in the country, including four different master s and doctoral degrees for attorneys and health care professionals as well as a certificate program for JD students. The Institute sponsors many continuing education conferences and events each year; publishes a semi-annual journal, the Annals of Health Law; fields a health law moot court team; and supports the Health Law Society, one of the largest student groups at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. At the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy, we strive to fulfill our mission: Educating the Health Law Leaders of Tomorrow. While health care issues change, the way I need to express specific recommendations or points of view to the government must be precise, relevant and supported by facts. The skills I learned at Loyola especially in the research and writing course help me do this on a daily basis.
