Professional Experience Insurance Claims Consulting» Directed, prepared, presented and negotiated physical damage and business interruption claims on behalf of policyholders ranging in size from $4.0 million to $700» Formulated presentation and negotiation strategies to achieve settlements for clients in the energy and power generation industries.» Specific activities included the determination of property damage, extra expense, expediting expenses, business interruption, theoretical rebuild, loss of production, and negotiation with insurers.» Investigated, prepared and substantiated a claim for physical damage to onshore production facilities following civil unrest. The total gross claim was in excess of $700 Page 1

» Assisted client with preparation of their insurance claim for property damage, well abandonment and debris removal following extensive hurricane damage to numerous offshore facilities. The gross claim was in excess of $250» Preparation of claim for property damage and site restoration following an explosion at an oil product storage facility. The gross claim was in excess of $200» Investigated, prepared and substantiated a claim for physical damage following an explosion on an offshore gas storage platform. The claim settled for circa $100» Provided technical and commercial support for the preparation of a claim involving three incidents on a combined cycle gas turbine plant. The total gross claim was valued at circa $7» Investigated, prepared and substantiated two disputed claims for physical damage to a steam turbine on a power generation plant. A total settlement of circa $8 million was achieved in respect of both claims.» Conducted a coverage analysis and technical investigation of two power generation gas turbine failures. The claim for physical damage and business interruption was valued at $18» Investigated, prepared and substantiated a claim for physical damage to an aluminum smelter following a power failure. Claim settled for circa $11» Investigated, prepared and substantiated a disputed claim for physical damage to an oil refinery caused by flooding and subsequent fire. Oil & Gas Loss Adjusting» Supervised and adjusted numerous Oil & Gas insurance claims involving physical damage, loss of production and control of well losses ranging from $25,000 to $125» Adjusted the loss of an offshore production deck that was lost when the transportation vessel capsized. Claim circa $125» Offshore underground blowout and re drill claim in the Far East, circa $90» Adjusted claim on subsea power cable in the North Sea, circa $20» Control of well, physical damage and loss of production claims arising from an offshore production platform blowout, circa $50» Provided guidance and coverage advice on a shallow gas blowout in the Gulf of Mexico, circa $80» Control of well and physical damage to an offshore platform in the Gulf of Mexico, circa $50» Damage to onshore terminal facilities resulting from a landslide and subsequent fire, circa $20» Numerous claims for damage sustained to subsea pipelines and other subsea facilities and equipment.» Numerous adjustments of claims for physical damage to onshore and offshore drilling rigs and drilling equipment.» Various claims for drilling rig loss of hire.» Valuation and adjustment of a claim for the loss of drill cores and geological samples resulting from a warehouse fire. Marine Insurance Surveying» Conducted various surveys on damaged vessels, marine machinery and dockside facilities.» Attended several marine salvage operations on behalf of insurers. Page 3

Conducted various warranty surveys on behalf of marine and energy insurers to approve towage and transportation arrangements. Litigation Consulting» Testified in arbitration and provided consultancy services on a disputed control of well claim in Canada, claim circa $10» Carried out an audit of claims totalling approximately $300 million relating to the arbitration of a reinsurance dispute concerning a 36 month property insurance policy for a major oil, gas and petrochemical company.» Quantified damages and provided technical advice for a drilling rig charter party arbitration in London.» Quantified costs arising from a subsea pipeline incident in the Gulf of Mexico, circa $30» Worked for various attorneys on the quantification of numerous insurance claims in anticipation of potential litigation. Industry Experience» Spent seven years in the British merchant navy as a seagoing marine engineer.» Spent five years working for several oil companies as an onshore based marine engineer. During this period, Mr. Ross worked as a terminal superintendent, a cost engineer, and as an energy conservation specialist.
