Shirts must be a solid color with no lettering, stripes, checks, or designs of any kind (unless it is a schoolapproved shirt). Appropriate shirt styles are collared knit button polo-style shirts, turtleneck shirts, and oxford-style or dress shirts, or schoolapproved shirts. Cap sleeves or sleeveless styles are not permitted. Excessive layering of shirts is not permitted. Shirts may not be thermal-style, terry cloth, or zippered. Undershirts may be any solid color. Principal-approved, schoolrelated shirts are allowed. In addition, students may wear polo or oxford shirts with official college logos or themes (see full policy for details). All shirts regardless of style must be long enough to remain tucked in at all times. Tight, formfitting, or lowcut blouses are not allowed.

PANTS/SHORTS Wear khaki, navy, or black. Keep the fit loose and knee-length or longer. No cargos. Wear a belt. Pants, shorts, and capris must be solid khaki, navy blue, or black Dockers or similar style with a flat or pleated front. All must have belt loops and must be worn at the waist with a belt. Blue-jean style khaki pants are not permitted. Gauchos, corduroys, jeans, denim, cargo-style, carpenter-style, leather, suede, vinyl, or knit pants are not allowed. Studs or decorations are not allowed. Clothing may not be oversized, baggy or extremely form-fitting. Sagging is not permitted. Pants and shorts that are tight at the knees and ankles are not permitted. Ladies may wear kneelength or longer khaki, navy, or black skirts and jumpers. Skirts must be worn at the waist with a belt if the skirt has belt loops. Slits may not extend more than three inches above the knee.

SWEATERS Wear solid colors. Keep the fit appropriate. Always wear standard dress underneath. Sweatshirts, sweaters, and sweater vests must be worn over a standard dressapproved shirt, must be a solid color or school approved, and must be appropriately sized in the shoulders, sleeves, and length. All must be pullover or cardigan style. Sweaters and sweatshirts may not be sleeveless or cap sleeved. Shrugs and short vests or sweaters that end above the waistline are not allowed. Students may wear sweatshirts or hoodies with official college logos or themes. Clothing may not be tight, form fitting, or oversized (bottom hem may not extend more than four inches below the belt). Tops and bottoms may not be the same color.

JACKETS Wear solid fleece or light jackets in the classroom. Store other coats in lockers. With the exception of dusters or trench coats (which are never allowed), students may wear any outerwear garment while traveling to and from school. However, while in the school building students may only wear principalapproved school jackets, solid-color fleece, or solid-color lightweight jackets. All outerwear must be worn over a standard dress shirt and must be appropriately sized. Coats and jackets worn to school that are not approved must be taken off upon entering the school building and remain in the student s locker. Heavy, oversized, or denim coats and jackets are not allowed in the building. Students may wear sweatshirts or hoodies with official college logos or themes.

ACCESSORIES Always wear a basic, looped and buckled belt. Avoid oversized accessories. Belts must be worn within the belt loops and buckled at all times. Belts may be any color or pattern, as long as they are leather-like dress style or canvas belts with an approved buckle. Styles of belts that are not allowed include scarves or ribbons, tie or fringe belts, sequined or excessively decorated belts or buckles, lettering on belts or buckles, suspenders, chain or metal belts. Oversized buckles (larger than credit card size) or extremely large or bulky jewelry are not allowed.

Shoes may be any color or pattern, as long as they are leather-like or canvas lace up, loafer or tennis shoe, closedtoe mule or slide, or open-toe sandal with a back strap. Shoes must be a matching pair and must be tied or fastened at all times. Flip-flops or open-toed shoes without a back strap are not allowed. Shoes must be tied or fastened at all times, and they may not be offensive, disruptive or gangrelated. Socks must be a matching, solid-color pair. Layering of socks is permitted as long as each pair of socks match and are a solid color. Socks, hosiery, leggings and tights can be any solid color no checks, stripes, lettering, wording, or designs. Fishnet hosiery is not allowed.

HAIR Keep the look neat and clean. Hair must be above the eyes, clean and well groomed. Extreme hairstyles (such as a Mohawk) or large hairstyles that might interfere with another student s ability to see in class are not permitted. Only natural hair colors are allowed. Letters, numbers, symbols, insignia, or logos cannot be depicted in hair. Any style that is deemed to be gang-related or disruptive will not be allowed. Male students must be clean-shaven.
