DATOR blev grundlagt 01. Det hele blev skabt på en lys idé. DATOR konstruerede som den første i verden en indsats til halogen belysning, der kunne godkendes til montering direkte i varmegodkendte isolationsmaterialer. Samtidig kunne indsatsen takket være det unikke patenterede 3-punkt beslag, monteres i et udskæringshul, der havde samme dimension som indsatsen. Mange patenter er sidenhen kommet til, og senest er det nye ophæng i gummirør, hvor lufttabet gennem indsatsen igen er minimeret. De interne og sårbare silikone ledninger har samtidig fået optimal beskyttelse ved monteringen. Til dette nye ophæng har vi samtidig konstrueret og patenteret en ny samleboks, der optager minimal plads, og hvor skruerne for kabelaflastningen er skjult under dækslet. Dækslet til samleboksen er samtidig konstrueret med en runding der bevirker, at boksen kan føres hen over ujævnheder på loftets bagside uden at gribe fast. Dette gør det væsentlig nemmere at på- og afmontere indsatsen. Videreudviklingen af nye produkter sker i mange tilfælde ved at lytte til den professionelle installatørs behov og ønsker. DATOR producerer mange af produkterne i DK og EU. DATOR har samtidig indgået et tæt samarbejde med en kinesisk fabrik omkring produktion og levering af hel- og halv fabrikata produkter. I dette samarbejde har DATOR indflydelse på hele produktionsforløbet, kvalitetssikring og ordnede forhold for medarbejderne. Med det nye produktionssted kan DATOR nu tilbyde varer leveret direkte fra egen produktion i Kina til den øvrige del af verden. DATOR produkterne er kendt for sin altid høje kvalitets niveau. DATOR was the first in the world who constructed an insert/canopy for halogen lightning which could be approved for installation directly in heat approved insulating materials. At the same time it was now possible, thanks to the unique and patented 3-point bracket to mount the insert/canopy in a cutout hole that had the same dimensions as the insert/canopy. Many patents have since been added, and the latest is the new flexible rubber pipe/tubes where air loss through the insert/canopy again is minimized. The internal and fragile Silicone cables have also received optimal protection during installation. For this new flexible rubber pipe/tubes we have also designed and patented a new junction box that takes up minimal space and the screw for the cable relief fitting is hidden under the cover. The cover of the junction box is designed with a round surface which allows the junction box to glide over rough or irregular surfaces smoothly, this makes it much easier to mount- and dismounting the insert/conopy. Further development of new products is in many cases by listening to the professional installer s needs and wants. In this way we at DATOR meet user needs and wants. DATOR produce many of its products in Denmark and the EU. DATOR is working closely with a Chinese factory of production and delivery of full and half-finished products. In this new collaboration DATOR has impact on the entire production process, quality assurance, and orderly environment for employees. With this new production site in China, it is now possible for DATOR to offer its quality products world wide, with DATOR brand or own brand name.
