Overview brochure: Vodafone Ethernet Services Agile, interconnected services as part of our Hybrid, Application Ready network Vodafone Power to you

Are the cost, latency and performance of your network slowing your business down? Need higher speed, more cost-effective connectivity between offices? Looking for dedicated, high-performance connectivity between major sites and data centres? Are your financial trading centres vulnerable to nondeterministic latency? Need a simpler WAN solution that offers full control of IP routing and changes? These are common challenges facing many organisations today. That s why we have developed. Part of our Application Ready Network portfolio, it allows enterprises to extend LANs by building a private Ethernet Wide Area Network (WAN) between sites, retain complete control of IP routing, and benefit from low-latency, high-speed connections between major sites and data centres. is increasingly a key part of the hybrid WAN connectivity needed by Enterprises today, achieved in combination with MPLS IP-VPN and Internet VPN Access solutions. But that s not all. takes advantage of our major ongoing investment in developing the most extensive network. We already operate a Global MPLS network, which reaches 65 countries directly and connects our national fixed MPLS and mobile networks in Vodafone markets. We operate global and national optical networks taking advantage of over 1M KM of fibre assets. In the near future, we ll extend our network reach and build greater depth, connecting more of Vodafone s national fixed and mobile networks in other countries. Our services have been enhanced to be more harmonised, proactive and flexible wherever we operate. 2

Vodafone Ethernet Services at a glance extends LANs nationally and across the world. It provides solutions for high speed data centre connectivity, simple low cost LAN extension and low latency connectivity with the following key benefits. High speed data centre connectivity Simple low cost LAN extension Low latency connectivity : Switched and Dedicated Ethernet Significant cost savings compared to legacy networks. Switched Ethernet National, regional or global network reach and depth that grows with your organisation. Simple LAN extension between sites where you can retain full control of IP routing and changes. Ethernet can be provided as part of a Vodafone hybrid WAN solution, where we use a mixture of technologies to meet your business objectives and outcomes. Options for end-to-end latency and quality of service SLAs. Market-leading service experience: proactive, flexible, consistent and harmonised across your global locations. Ethernet Wireline (EWL) Point-to-Point or hub and spoke connectivity provided over Vodafone s IP/MPLS network. Ethernet VPN (E-VPN) Any-to-Any connectivity provided over Vodafone s IP/MPLS network. Dedicated Ethernet Point-to-Point connectivity provided over Vodafone s optical transmission network, supporting low latency and extremely high bandwidth connectivity. Ensures you meet your compliance and security needs. 3

Which solution is right for your business? portfolio has all the components to cover all your Ethernet requirements and we use our multiple network types to enhance these services. EWL: High speed connectivity provides organisations with secure and scalable high bandwidth connectivity, and consistent performance between customer data centres or hub sites. This is often combined with a branch network that needs an IP-VPN or Internet VPN solution. EWL offers uncontended bandwidth at the lowest cost per bit. EWL and E-VPN provide CoS (Class of Service) to support business applications including voice and video. E-VPN: Simple low cost LAN extension Enterprises can use our cost effective Ethernet solutions to benefit from fast and flexible bandwidth, and full control of IP routing to make rapid changes and roll out new applications, quickly. E-VPN provides Any-to-Any connectivity, with optional QoS (Quality of Service), end-to-end performance reporting and monitoring. Dedicated Ethernet: Low latency connectivity More and more companies such as financial or media organisations now require connectivity between major cities and financial centres, with low latency and end-to-end SLAs. We offer a premium service with Dedicated Ethernet, which provides shortest-route transmission, dedicated bandwidth and latency assurance (through performance reporting). Dedicated Ethernet offers the lowest possible latency with ultra high bandwidth that is dedicated to your specific connectivity need. 4

Connectivity. Access. Flexibility. The growth of video, network-based business applications, Unified Communications, Cloud computing and data centre virtualisation promises smarter, more collaborative and more affordable ways of working. But they also demand more bandwidth, resilience, scalability and uncontended connectivity across multiple locations. With you re in safe hands. Your organisation can take advantage of Vodafone s proven application-aware network technology, as well as comprehensive service and support. provides connectivity with high quality and availability to optimise business traffic. 5

Cost reduction Efficiently connecting your LANs and business improves productivity and achieves better service standards and saves time managing multiple networks and suppliers. While moving to global data centres, centralised IT or Cloud services means further Capex and Opex savings, and improving your network, you can free up your IT resources to concentrate on core business activities. In short, Vodafone Ethernet Services reduces costs and complexity, while increasing flexibility and control to make changes on the network quickly and efficiently. Reliable and secure network provides critical data centre connectivity that performs to the required quality that enterprises need to connect all their sites, and availability to optimise business-critical traffic. For added reassurance, our highavailability platform and has 24/7 proactive monitoring. Vodafone networks are present in 65 countries, and this is expanding rapidly through significant ongoing investment. Consistent high-quality communications brings a range of access options, including Copper (Ethernet First Mile-EFM) and FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet), as well as Fibre with bandwidth up to 100Gbps. Three Class of Service (CoS) levels enable you to prioritise real-time and delay-sensitive applications, and ensure enterprises and their employees can make the most of flexible working, dynamic bandwidth, fast changes, and consistent application quality. With a fast, reliable, secure network to link your sites, it s easier to share voice, video, email and other key business applications between premises saving money and time. Future-proof, flexible network infrastructure It s easy to add or change sites, applications and scale bandwidth access up or down nationally or globally. You can also connect external stakeholders and partition multiple networks over a single infrastructure to establish closer relationships with customers and suppliers, while managed and rapid remote feature changes support new applications and IT initiatives. Move to Unified Communications (UC), hosting and cloud We can provide Ethernet alongside other Vodafone connectivity solutions over a Multi-Service Access Bearer. This includes our Dedicated Internet Access, which we provide over one of the world s leading IP backbones. Enterprises can also take advantage of our Hosting and network-based services. This gives you the network capacity and bandwidth to establish new ways of working, and enable Unified Communications. Besides significant and ongoing costs savings, a better connected, more collaborative and productive workforce can also improve your competitive edge dramatically. Excellent service With Vodafone, you have a market-leading service experience from a single global provider with local roots and a successful track record in transitioning, implementing and managing global WANs for multinational companies. You also have the reassurance of stringent end-to-end SLAs and a service supported by more than 1,800 customer services agents and 1,500 service delivery colleagues, providing 24/7 incident management and proactive monitoring. 6

: the details allows enterprises to build a private Wide Area Network between sites and provide low latency connections to Data Centres while retaiining full control of layer 3 IP routing. The service also works seamlessly alongside IP-VPN and other Fixed Connectivity products to give organisations a total hybrid WAN solution. Switched EWL and E-VPN EWL provides Point-to-Point or hub and spoke connectivity over Vodafone s IP/MPLS network. E-VPN provides Any-to-Any connectivity over Vodafone s IP/MPLS network.
