Thanks to a worldwide R&D policy, we are at the forefront of technological advances. in brief The Open Transit Internet (OTI) service is an international wholesale Internet connectivity solution for carriers, ISPs and content providers. The OTI service is a bundled offer that includes both the Internet connection (Internet access) giving full access to the Open Transit Internet connectivity and, if requested, to the transmission facilities (Service Access link) from the customer s equipment to our service point of presence. our solution With a seamless and highly secure backbone, high quality commitments and a strong presence on the major Internet exchange points worldwide, we can provide two different commercial offers that aim at satisfying your needs as accurately as possible. OTI Pure Speed This is our wholesale Internet connectivity flagship product. Dedicated to carriers, ISPs and research networks, this offer is based on our fully owned International IP backbone covering the world with high capacities and traffic policing possibilities. It is designed to adapt to each IP player s needs. benefits: the perfect mix of global coverage, local service and overall commitment to quality. OTI Content The system is tailor-made for content providers (including content delivery networks, pure content providers, hosters, streamers) needing international Internet connectivity, delivering top quality content and providing maximum proximity to the highest number of Internet end users. benefits: the broadest array of types of traffic to customers for the best rates associated with customized billing.
2 corporation with a total capital of RCS Paris value added services tools statistics: We give access to a secured Web server that provides online traffic statistics to customers. looking glass to: Follow the network routing state (AS path, dampening, and equipment versions...). Trace route and ping from each Open Transit Internet router. View certain router environmental parameters such as software version, temperature, load rate, etc. newsfeed The Newsfeed function helps feed servers with articles by accepting them on our server and offering them to customers. News feeds are accomplished through cooperating news servers, which communicate via NNTP (Network News Transfer Protocol). secondary DNS To send s, to browse the web and for any other type of Internet usage, Domain Name Servers are used. IP addresses An IP address is the identifier given to a computer when on a TCP/IP network. Every client and server station must have a unique IP address to be identified. Client workstations have either a permanent address or one that is dynamically assigned to them at each dial-up session. multicast The transmission of Multicast content enables customers to optimize their bandwidth. The multicast dynamic routing policy is based on the PIM, MSDP and MBGP protocols. blackholing Blackholing was implemented to protect our customers from distributed denial of service attacks. IPv6 IPv6 is the new version of the IP Protocol, enabling IP networks to work more efficiently than the current IPv4. Operating in 30 countries, is one of the world s leading telecommunications operators. The Group has a total customer base exceeding 239 million customers including 181 million mobile customers worldwide. Covering Internet, television and mobile services, is among the leaders in Europe for mobile and broadband internet and, under the brand Business Services, is one of the world leaders in providing telecommunication services to multinational companies.
3 Value Added Services international wholesale solutions bandwidth data, a major player in the wholesale market Choose reliability and quality: Take advantage of our in-depth knowledge of the industry resulting from our activities on both retail and wholesale markets. Our dedicated teams on four continents serve 1,000 mobile operators, international carriers, ISPs and content providers worldwide. You can rely on our seamless backbone network spanning 220 countries and benefit from 450,000 km of fibre optic cable. Thanks to a worldwide R&D policy, we are at the forefront of technological advances. in brief The purpose of the bandwidth solution is to provide a point-to-point transmission service over SDH/Sonet or WDM or Ethernet (regardless of the geographical locations, starting points and traffic type) for carriers and content providers. VOICE ATM SDH / SONET ETHERNET glossary INTERNET WDM OPTICAL FIBRE SDH: Synchronous Digital Hierarchy WDM: Wavelength-Division Multiplexing CHLS: Cable Head Landing Station our solution The bandwidth solution is based on a Pan-European terrestrial backbone network interconnected with a seamless submarine cable network and 2 sub-networks (Singapore and New York city). This extended network and a strong presence in Africa allow us to provide you with a comprehensive offer. City to City solution (C2C) City to City is an international dedicated point-to-point bandwidth product. Standard rates are 2, 34/45, 155, 622 Mbps or 2.5Gbps on SDH/Sonet technology and 2.5 to 10 Gbps (and soon 40Gbps) on WDM. benefits granularity and flexibility of bandwidth ability to connect to the biggest European metropolis as well as Singapore, New York City and the African footprint IPL+ - C2C variation It requires submarine capacity and provides a part of an end-to-end circuit between 2 international cities where service stops at the Cable Head Landing Station (CHLS) of a submarine cable in the distant country. For specific cases with no terrestrial path, Wet Capacity can be offered to our customers as submarine cable capacity only, between 2 CHLS.
4 corporation with a total capital of RCS Paris One Stop Shopping (OSS) - C2C variation. It is a simplified procedure for the customer that offers the advantage of dealing with a single point of contact for billing, ordering, provisioning and maintenance. OSS extends our reach beyond the group on-net network thus offering end-to-end services for customers in selected countries. Long Distance Ethernet (LDE) - C2C variation. It provides any customer with an Ethernet access point between two cities in Europe provided that the customer site is located in the vicinity of an LDE PoP. LDE is a layer2 service built over the transmission layer. Standard rates are 150, 300, 450, 600, 750, 900Mbps or 1Gbps. benefits: With Ethernet interfaces the total cost is limited compared to classic SDH. And also Backhaul solution is the terrestrial termination of submarine capacity, from a Cable Head Landing Station (CHLS) to one Point of Presence (PoP) or directly to a customer site over SDH/Sonet or WDM technology. Standard rates are the same as C2C. benefits: your on-net submarine cable traffic can be terminated to many PoPs destinations in Europe, New York City and Singapore via terrestrial network. Housing: customer s transmission equipment can be hosted in premises. Housing can only be sold bundled or packaged with other offers such as City-to-City and its variations. value added services options MSP 1+1 (Multiplex Section Protection) - available for all services. It is an acces protection, based on interface card and «in house cabling» redundancy. benefits: lower risk of outage, increased security for higher access. Restoration - available on City-to-City and IPL+. It provides you with a back-up for its submarine capacity on its C2C or IPL+ section, in case of failure on the initial submarine trunk. benefits: your traffic is restored in a few hours or even immediately on certain links.
