Ph.D. in Special Education, offered jointly with UCLA CSULA/UCLA unique program started in 1969, prepares leaders for the field of special education Year 1 - @CSULA in-depth courses in special education research and law research experience teaching activities Years 2 4 years @ UCLA ongoing research practicum in-depth courses in research methods and in substantive areas in human development and psychology. @ UCLA, students maintain contact with the CSULA coordinator & faculty, & include faculty from both CSULA & UCLA on their qualifying examination & dissertation committees.
