SANDVIK'S COMPACT RANGE... Sandvik breakers Parts and tools 1
Parts and tools Sandvik Mining and Construction recognises that all our breakers and attachments are only ever as good as the parts and tools they use. Which is why our genuine parts and tools utilize the best raw materials and heat treatment characteristics to ensure optimum durability across a broad range of industries, materials and applications. These parts and tools are available through a highly experienced global dealer network that is unparalleled within our industry and which ensures that you get the right tool, in the right place, at the right time. The sandvik tools offering comprises the chisel and moil point tools that are suitable for most jobs. In trenching, benching and demolition applications, the material is broken by a combination of impact energy and a wedging effect that forces the material to separate as the tool penetrates. The chisel is the preferred choice among professionals in some trenching applications; whereas the moil point is recommended as it causes less burring in the tool retainer pin area. Limestone chisel and pyramid tools are also suitable for trenching, Benching and demolition. Limestone chisel increases production where the penetration rate is high. Pyramid tool is particularly effective in concrete. Blunt tools and super blunt tools are suitable for secondary breaking and boulder reduction applications. The tool breaks the material with stress waves generated by the hammer, passing through the tool and into the rock. The standard blunt tool provides an excellent combination of productivity and resistance to wear. For additional wear resistance in Particularly abrasive conditions, a super blunt tool may be specified. Hard rock chisel is designed for primary breaking of hard rock; Quarrying and trenching in hard, abrasive, fractured rock. Asphalt cutting and compacting tools are designed for utility Applications. Sandvik's asphalt cutting tool is available with both parallel and transverse cutting edge directions. Sandvik breakers Booms 9
Breaker Booms Sandvik's pedestal mounted breaker booms enable the optimal positioning of a breaker within a crushers feed, allowing blockages and bridging of rock to be broken and cleared quickly and efficiently. Available in a wide range of sizes and designs, Sandvik breaker booms can be supplied as complete, perfectly matched systems including the power pack, control system and perfectly matched breaker. Models range from flexible, lightweight rota-booms to heavy-duty boom systems with extended reach. Compact series booms are used on mobile crushing plants and impact crushers. They feature a low-profile design that maintains the crushers low transportation height. Light weight, multi-purpose Small series booms are typically used in quarries, together with primary crushers or mobile crushers to clear blockages and bridging. Medium series booms have been built to take heavy loads in quarry and mining applications. Typically installed to enhance the productivity of stationary crushers by feeding material to the crushers and raking the hopper area. Large series booms are specially designed for the mining markets. Applications may include gyratory crushers in mines and quarries, or grizzlies. Large booms also feature a multi-fit pedestal, that makes replacing existing, worn out boom systems more convenient. Mobile breaker systems are specially designed for mobile underground grizzly applications. They can easily be installed on various carriers and make a winning combination, once teamed up with a Sandvik medium or large breaker and or any other compatible Sandvik product 10
