Sabre Cruises (Part 1) Booking a Cruise Quick Reference O V E R V I E W Sabre Cruises is a user-friendly browser-based cruise shopping and booking tool. It saves you precious time on the phone and makes it quick and easy to find the right cruise at the right price. Increase your efficiency with 24/7 online instant access to 14 major cruise lines even during the busiest time of the year. View deck plans, itineraries and cabins that includes pictures and descriptions. Shop, book and modify cruise bookings and if you are a Sabre Connected SM agency, the system creates automatically a complete Passenger Name Record (PNR) at the time of booking or modification, and does not require you to take separate action. Sabre Cruises is the only tool that offers group bookings on all participating cruise lines. Through Sabre Cruises, you can shop and compare group inventory side-by-side with all other promotions and rate codes. Access Sabre Cruises: From Agency eservices: Product tab, Sabre Cruises From Sabre Red Workspace. Booking tools, Sabre Cruises. Note: Your agency must be registered with the cruise line to be able to sell a cruise. G E T T I N G S T A R T E D The Sabre Cruises header and menu bar is present throughout the whole booking process. The menu bar allows you to navigate through the site without losing track of where you are in the booking process. Home: Clears the booking process and returns you to the initial screen. Lookup Up Booking: Search for a previous or existing booking. User Preferences: Allows you to store your customized default preferences, such as sailing region, nationality, citizenship, page settings, result sorting criteria, agent name, contact phone number, and e-mail. Sabre Cruises adds the email address field to the PNR created. After your customer sails, you may be eligible to earn Sabre Rewards Plus points based on that email address. Reports: Issue cruise sale reports through Sabre Business Intelligence.. FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions The breadcrumb trail below the menu bar keeps track of which stage you are in during the booking process. The active Passengers link allows you to access the passenger information screen at any point of the booking process. Sabre Cruises Student Guide page 5 Page 1 of 8
S E A R C H F O R S A I L I N G S : S A I L I N G S E A R C H Select the Sailing Search option if you want to use one or more search options, such as multiple cruise lines, regions, and/or ships. You can now search for sailings without having to specify one or more search parameters such as date, length of sailing, region or cruise line. This flexibility will allow you more easily and quickly see sailings without having to check a brochure or know more about a sailing geographic region or date/month for sailings. If you want to narrow your search, select one or more Geographic Region(s) for the cruise by clicking the name(s) once on the list. To de-select any option, click the name again. This is not a mandatory search parameter. You can select Any Region to search sailings across all geographic regions. Select one or more Cruise Line(s) from the list. You can compare up to 5 cruises lines at once. After selecting the Cruise Line(s), the list of available ships for those cruise lines displays under the Ship Name list. Select one or more Ship Name(s), if your customer has a preference. Select the Port of Embarkation, if your customer has a preference. The cruise line returns only the results that match your requested embarkation port, making it easier and faster to only view those sailings that meet your client s needs while shopping for a cruise. Click the calendar menu to select the Departure Date Range. Choose up to 24 months. Once you add the departure date, the system defaults the return date to one month later. Select the Minimum and Maximum Sailing Length days. Click Sort by list to state your result display preference. You can sort the display to show sailings by Cruise Line, Ship, and Day of the Week, Length, Embarkation Port, Number of Ports, and Sailing Status. Your PCC appears by default. Click Search once you have selected all required fields. Note: Under Help Links, click Cruise Line Registration Verification to verify if your agency is registered with a particular cruise line or to verify the information the cruise line has on file for your agency. Click How do I register with the cruise lines? All required fields in the Sabre Cruises tool are indicated with a red asterisk (*). S E A R C H F O R S A I L I N G S : Q U I C K S E L L Selecting the Quick Sell option allows you to skip pages and save time in the booking process if you already have the information. If you already know the cruise line, the ship, the dates, the rate code, the group ID, the category and the cabin number, the system takes you directly to the Passenger Information Page. If you don t know your customer s preferred category or cabin, Sabre takes you to the category page. S A I L I N G R E S U L T S Sabre Cruises displays a list of all the available cruises that match your criteria. To help you decide, Sabre Cruises displays a list of price ranges for that sailing, to be used as a reference. Results can be several pages. Click Next (if applicable) on the top center of the page to view additional pages. To return to the first page, click Previous. If there are Groups available, they appear on top of the search results for each Cruise Line regardless the search method. It may take a few seconds for the group icon to appear. A spinning icon displays while Sabre Cruises searches for available groups. Click the Ship s name to view Ship Details (Ship statistics, Public Areas, and Deck Plan) Click the itinerary date to view Cruise Itinerary Details (Day of the week, Port Name, Action and Time) Click Back to Previous Page to return to the Sailing Results screen. Click the appropriate radio button to select the desired cruise. Select the number of passengers in the drop down menu under Passenger Count. Select Air in the drop down menu under Transportation Mode if your customer wishes to include air transportation from their city to the cruise departure city, Bus or Cruise Only. Select your customer s departure city under Passenger City. Imput your passengers ages. Click Continue to proceed with the booking. R A T E O P T I O N S The breadcrumb trail shows a checkmark when you have already completed a screen. Click the active link to return to the desired booking stage. The Booking Recap screen reflects the current booking details. Below the Booking Recap screen, you see Rate Codes with a brief description. Group rate codes appear on top for Royal Caribbean brands. All other cruise line group rates appear lower on the page with the group ID as the rate code and the Group name as the rate code description. Sabre Cruises, connects directly with the Cruise Line systems. Therefore, the Cruise Lines recognizes your PCC, and any unique or special fares available for your agency will be displayed in Sabre Cruises. Click the Group ID to view the Group information (group contract, cabins, rates, availability, air or hotel packages, group deposits and payment, total cost, commission, individual bookings, etc.). Note; This option should be activated by a Manager. Please refer to the Group User Preferences Quick References in Agency eservices Click a Rate Code link to view the Rate Code Rules. Click the check boxes under Select to compare up to 3 rate codes. Click Continue. Note: Some cruise lines may return rates in multiple currencies. These cruise lines also include the current code in the rate option name, such as FIT USD in addition to FIT CAD. Ensure the currency rate amount quoted is based on the rate option name. C A T E G O R Y A V A I L A B I L I T Y The Category Availability screen provides details for each of the selected Rate Options. Different colors show if cabins are available, if you can waitlist, or if the option is closed. Group Rate always shows in the first column. The LOC column indicates the location of the stateroom. Information under each Rate Code includes: Min Max indicates the number of passengers allowed per room. Guar indicates whether it is a guaranteed cabin category or not. Upgrades are shown, if applicable. Double Rate indicates the rate based on double occupancy Click the + button to read the rate rules for Royal Caribbean brand group rates. Click the Select radio button to choose the category options. Some cruise lines will allow waitlisted option selection. Once you ve chosen the maximum amount of waitlisted cabins, the system automatically dims the checkboxes. Be sure to Cross Compare the rates for the desired categories to ensure best valued cruise vacation for your customers. Click the code in the CAT column to view Stateroom Details. D E T A I L E D P R I C I N G If you need a quick way to quote your customers their cruise vacations, use the Detailed Pricing page. Click Detailed Pricing at the bottom of the category page and receive complete cruise costs without having to enter client details. The Detailed Pricing screen provides rate information for each passenger in the booking, plus the Booking Total. You can view your Agency Statement and Payment Schedule. Click Preview Pricing to see pricing details, or Continue, to go on with the booking process. Click Preview Pricing to offer your customers even more options M O D I F Y D E T A I L S When you click Preview Pricing, you may modify individual passenger options. These passenger level options include insurance, age, transportation mode, city and ability to add a passenger or delete a passenger. Changes made will not be saved but are only to allow you to view detailed pricing based on changes to the options offered. If you wish to make any of the changes tested on this page (alternate pricing, transportation city and mode, insurance, age and passenger number), you need to perform them on the passenger information page. Click Back to Previous Page to Continue. B O O K E D C A T E G O R Y S U M M ARY When you go to the previous page, Sabre shows you the booking you made and the waitlisted selections. At this point, you can choose to delete any of the options. Select the desired category, and click Delete to take it out of the booking. CABIN A V A I L A B I L I T Y In the Cabin Availability screen, you select the desired cabin for your customers. The screen reflects available Cabin numbers, the Deck and position where they are located, as well as the cabin s capacity. The screen also indicates the bedding type and provides you the ability to specify the bedding configuration, plus bath options. If your client has a preferred cabin number and you don t see it available, you can add it as a preferred cabin. If the cabin is not available, a message will advise you to select an alternate cabin. Notice that in some cases, (e.g.: the GUAR cabin), the options shown describe minimum specifications. Click the Cabin number to view a cabin and deck details. To book a cabin marked with an *, use the swap selection option at the bottom of the page. Note: Click Search for handicap cabins to modify your cabin search results to include handicap cabins. C A B I N D E T A I L S The Cabin Details screen indicates: The cabin number, a sample picture and diagram A description of the room A diagram of the selected deck, with all its rooms and specifications. The Legend box details the meaning of each symbol shown in the deck diagram. Click Back to Previous Page to continue with the booking. Once your customers decide on a cabin preference in the Cabin Availability screen, click Select. Click Continue. Sabre Cruises (Part 2) Booking a Cruise Quick Reference O V E R V I E W In addition to choosing and booking cabins, you can also request several extras for your customers. These extras range from special requests and occasions to meal seating preferences to pre and post cruise packages. The Passenger Information screen appears once you complete the Cabin selection. P A S S E N G E R I N F O R M A T I O N S C R E E N Enter your customer s information in the Passenger Information screen. Select the passenger s title from the drop down menu. The passenger s title, names, sex, age or birth date, telephone number, nationality and primary contact information is required. Select the passenger s Country of Nationality from the drop down menu. If your customer is a previous passenger on this cruise line and has a number issued to them, input the number in the Past Passenger Number field. Place a check mark in front of Immigration Information to open the Immigration Information screen, if applicable. If you need to change the passengers transportation, click the checkbox or the active Transportation link in the breadcrumb trail. Click Continue to proceed with the cruise booking. Note: As with the entire booking process, fields with a red asterisk are mandatory. Note: The Immigration Information section is optional. T R A V E L P R O T E C T I O N After completing the Passenger Information, Sabre Cruises offers you the possibility of booking Sabre Travel Protection for your clients. Note: For Royal Caribbean brand group bookings, Cruise Line insurance is not available. Contact the Cruise Line to book it. Note: For more information about Travel Protection, refer to the Travel Protection Quick References available at the Agency eservices website. To book Travel Protection Select the Travel Protection plan of your choice by selecting the appropriate option. Make sure you click View the Policy Info to review the policy information of the plan you selected before booking it Note: Travel Protection allows you to book a different plan for each passenger. To decline Travel Protection Select the option Travel Protection Declined to continue without booking Travel Protection. Sabre Cruises Student Guide page 13 Page 1 of 5
S P E C I A L S E R V I C E S Select seating preferences and table size from the drop down menus for Dining. Enter the names of other passengers in your group in Dining With. Special Service Requests includes several types of requests. These include special Occasions, medical problems or conditions, Special Meals and Special Services. Click on the desired request for each passenger. Depending on the item, you may need to add additional data. In the example shown, you need to add the anniversary date and the number of years to each passenger. When booking from a Royal Caribbean Brand Group, dining time choices display from the group options and the only Special Services shown are the ones with no monetary value. Click Continue Note: the breadcrumb trail helps you to keep track of the process. O P T I O N A L P A C K A G E S Cruise Packages are an optional service, and are not available for all sailings. To view packages click the Packages active link in the breadcrumb trail. Note: Pre and post hotel packages are not bookable via Sabre Cruises for Royal Caribbean brand group bookings. Please contact the cruise line to book pre/post hotel packages on Royal Caribbean brand group bookings. Warning: After you enter dinning preferences, the system jumps directly to the Final Pricing Screen. The only way to access packages is via the active link. Packages screen detail: 1) Booking Recap: click the blue highlighted links to view complete details. Click View Details to view each passenger s information. The Booking Recap area expands to include Passenger Details. Click All Passenger Details to view passenger information for all passengers in this cruise booking. Click the link on the desired passenger name to display an individual passenger s information. This area indicates your customer s personal information, plus any Special Services or Requests. 2) Pre Cruise and Post Cruise Packages apply for each individual passenger. You have a wide variety of alternatives, which includes Ground Transportation and Accommodations. Some cruise lines support the ability to book a waitlist package. Click on the desired checkboxes, if any apply, and then click Continue. P R I C I N G A N D P A Y M E N T The Price Summary and Payment screen indicates all charges and payment details. Select View Agency Statement to view Gross Amount, Net Amount, and Net Due Cruise Line information. Select View Payment Schedule to view details on when deposits and final payments are due to the cruise line. Select Remove Cruise Line Insurance only if your customer requests it. Click Add Payment, if applicable. A Payment screen opens to send deposits, partial payments, and full payments to the cruise line. When booking from a Royal Caribbean Brand Group you can allocate payment from group deposit (if available) using the table at the bottom of the screen. Complete all the mandatory information (*). Click Add Another Credit Card if needed to make multiple payments. Click Continue. Click Final Pricing to go back to the previous screen. C O N F I R M B O O K I N G Read the Information in the Cruise Booking Summary screen carefully. Click any blue link to open and review detailed summaries. Click Final Pricing to view the pricing and payment summary. Click Confirm Booking to finish the reservation. Note: Once you confirm the booking, you see a message screen indicating you to wait for the cruise line to process and confirm your booking request. C O N F I R M B O O K I NG Upon confirmation by the cruise line, the Confirmation Number appears in the Booking Recap screen. The Booking process also creates a Sabre PNR for Sabre Connected agents. Click on the links to review and change any details. To book another reservation, click New Search Note: The breadcrumb trail is now active. To go to a specific item in the menu, just click the desired word. When you confirm a booking, the Sabre system automatically creates a PNR with a non-active GK SEA segment that reflects the cruise reservation. Any air segments should be added as in any regular Sabre system reservation. Retrieving and Modifying a Cruise Sabre Cruises Quick Reference O V E R V I E W Once a booking is confirmed in the Sabre Cruises shopping and booking tool, you may need to search for a previous or existing booking. With Sabre Cruises, you can: Cancel the booking Change sailing dates or update passenger or immigration information, etc. Add or remove Special Service Requests or pre or post Cruise Packages, etc. Review Payment schedule Send payments to the cruise line L O O K U P A B O O K I N G Click Look Up Booking to search for a previous or existing booking. You can look up Individual or Group bookings. You have two methods to look for an Individual booking: Note: PCC is auto populated. 1) By Confirmation Number: Select the Cruise Line from the list. Type the Cruise Line Confirmation Number. Click Retrieve Booking. 2) Look Up by Passenger Name: Add Cruise Line and Last Name. You have four methods to look for a Royal Caribbean brands group booking: 1) By Group ID: Select the Cruise Line from the list. Type the Group ID. Click Retrieve Booking. 2) Look Up group Sailing: Select the Cruise Line from the list. All other fields are optional, but they help you identify the booking faster. Click Search. 3) By Confirmation Number with in a Group: Select the Cruise Line from the list. Type the Cruise Line Confirmation Number. All other fields are optional, but they help you identify the booking faster. Click Retrieve Booking. 4) By Passenger Name with in a Group: Select the Cruise Line from the list. Type the Last Name and Group ID. All other fields are optional, but they help you identify the booking faster. Click Search. E X P A N D E D C R U I S E B O O K I N G D E T A I L S S C R E E N This screen displays your booking. All links can be clicked to open: Booking History: Shows all your booking transactions. Evening Attire: Details the clothing type for each night of the cruise. Modify Booking: Opens a window area with multiple modifying options. Passenger Details: Opens a window area with the personal information of All Passengers, or individual passengers (by name). Pricing Details: Enables you to see Detailed Charges and amounts due, as well as deposit deadline. Agency Information: Specifies your Agency s details, and booking agent. Click Cancel Booking to cancel the entire reservation. New Search takes you back to the homepage. Click the Ignore and Retrieve button to ignore any changes you don t want to save and retrieve the booking again. M O D I F Y A B O O K I N G When you click Modify Booking, the page displays several links. Each link allows you to modify the booking from that point on: Sailing: any of its three links redirect you to the beginning of the booking process. Rate Code: Takes you to the Rate Code Results page. As in the original booking, you can choose up to 3 rates. Category: Displays all the room categories available. Cabin: Allows you to choose again from the available cabins. Passenger Info: in this tab you can change the Passenger s personal information. Also, you can modify or add any Immigration data the customer requires. Special Services: you can add or delete any of the special requests and preferences. Packages: by adding or removing checkmarks from the Transfers and Accommodation links, you can add, change or remove options. Payment and Insurance: Takes you to the Pricing Summary screen. Note: The Passenger Details links, the Pricing Details Links, and the Agency s Details link, show you the pertinent information, but do not allow you to change the information. To the right, you can see an example of the screen that appears when you click any link to modify a booking. In this example, you see the Rate Code Results screen. In all of the windows, you have the option to Skip this Page, without any modifications. If you decide on any changes, click Continue after the modification. You will now be prompted down the booking path to confirm your changes (all bread crumb trail links will now be disabled) unless you choose to Ignore and Retrieve the booking, click New Search, or Home. R E M O V E C R U I S E L I N E I N S U R A N C E To remove Cruise Line Insurance, click the Modify Booking link, and click on Pricing and Payment. You now see the Price Summary screen. To remove the insurance, add a checkmark in the Remove Cruise Line Insurance box. Note: Do not click on any other checkbox. The flicker in your screen indicates you are redirected to another window. A D D C R E D I T C A R D P A Y M E N T When you add checkmarks to View Agency Statement, View Payment Schedule and Add Credit Card Payment, new window areas open. To add credit card payment, fill in the information, as explained in the Sabre Cruises (Part 2) quick reference. Click Print to print the page. When ready, click Continue. Click Skip This Page in situations where you decide no changes to the data are needed. To launch the Format Finder home page: Sabre Red Workspace > Workspace Applications Toolbar from Sabre for Windows - press Ctrl+Z. from the Agency eservices Web site - under the Support tab, click Format Finder. Then click Format Finder online. All of the Format Finder support for Sabre Cruises is accessible from the product topic page crutp001. Use this in your Search or click the Sabre Cruises link on the Format Finder home page.
