Updated Bountiful Purse w/cards Use 1-1/2 sheets of DSP and some coordinating cardstock to make this perfect gift item. Supplies: 1-1/2 sheets of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (DSP) 5-6 sheets of coordinating cardstock (8-1/2 x 11 - to make the purse embellishments and cards) Small piece (approx 2 square) of Metallic cardstock (or 4 large eyelets) 6 envelopes Paper Cutter Simply Scored Scoring tool Sticky Strip, Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals Oval Accents Bigs Clear Die Framelits and Textured Embossing Folders Stamps and coordinating color stamp pads 1/4 and 1/2 circle punches, Decorative Label punch Other punches to embellish as desired 20 inches of Ribbon, 1 Antique brad, 1 Velcro dot R.S.V.P. pen and 1/2 a post-it pad Directions: Step 1: Score the full size (12 x 12 ) piece of DSP using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (or scoring blade on your cutter) as shown in Diagram A ( this will be for your purse. Cut the 1/2 sheet of DSP (6 x 12 ) as shown in Diagram B (these will be the pieces for your cards and accessories). 2-1/2 9-1/2 1-1/2 1-1/2 2 2 3-3/4 Diagram A (Purse) 4-3/4 7-1/4 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 2 x 3-3/4 2 x 3-3/4 2 x 3-1/4 (Piece for Post-it holder) extra piece that you can use to put in the pen (cut to 3/4 x 3-1/4 6 12 Diagram B (pieces to embellish cards and accessories) 12
Step 2: Fold at score lines and make angled folds as shown in photos below. f. or Step 3: Cut 2 pieces of coordinating cardstock using the Oval Accents Bigs Clar Die for the to embellish the top portion of your purse. Fold the pieces in half lengthwise and then use a Textured Impressions Folder and run through the Big Shot again to create a texture. Step 4: Place sticky strip on these pieces as shown in the photos. Adhere one half of each piece to the outside along th top edges. Punch holes for the ribbon to pass through as shown in the photos. Step 5: If you don t have large eyelets, you can make something that looks like it by first punching 4 holes in the metallic cardstock using a 1/4 circle punch. Then use the 1/2 punch around that hole to make your eyelets. Step 6: If you re using the paper eyelets, glue them over the holes that you punched on the outside of the purse. I use Tombow glue. Step 7: Thread the ribbon through the holes as shown and use sticky strip to hold them in place. Fold down the rest of the Oval Accents piece to cover up your ribbon edges. o- -
Step 8: Punch a piece of coordinating cardstock using the Decorative Label Punch. Score at approx 1/8 from each side the center. Place sticky strip as shown. Place your Antique brad on one side. Stick this piece to the top edge of one side of the purse and then use a Velcro dot for your closure. Your purse is now complete!
