SYMBOL 1.0.1 Konica Minolta symbol logo The symbol mark is designed to visually and symbolically express the brand. It aims to demonstrate the motto, make a promise to the stakeholders and most importantly, to our customers, thereby establishing a strong bond with them. The symbol for Konica Minolta is called the Globe Mark. It is our belief that the Globe Mark symbolizes Konica Minolta s managerial philosophy, managerial visions and corporate slogan, which all stand for the corporate activities. The Globe Mark will be at the centre of the process for developing the corporate image. The Konica Minolta Symbol Logo is a combination of the Globe Mark and the Konica Minolta Logotype, and is available in two styles: 2-D and 3-D. In principle, the Globe Mark and the Konica Minolta Logotype must be used together. ISOLATION AREA: general 1.0.8 Isolation area The isolation area has the purpose of creating enough space around the logo to ensure full brand impact. The same rules apply to the 2D and 3D logo versions. When using the logo on its own, for example on flags, advertising materials, vehicles, etc., the space around the logo depends upon the size of the globe. 2-D version vertical combination H 2-D version horizontal combination H 3-D version vertical combination H 3-D version horizontal combination H
ISOLATION AREA: GRID SCALE 1.0.9 Isolation area: Use of logo in layout grid When using the logo in the layout grid on print materials, the isolation area around the logo is adjusted according to the grid size. As a rule of thumb: the minimum space is one grid square between the edge of the format and any other design elements (e.g. the Shape). Generally speaking, on A4 materi- als a logo width of 4 grid squares is used with an edge spacing of 1 grid square. In the case of smaller formats (e.g. DINlong) the logo width may be enlarged proportionately to ensure good recognition. The minimum spacing of 1 grid square must be maintained. Title: bizhub PRESS 1052/1250/1250P Media size: DIN A4 KONICA MINOLTA The Konica Minolta logo is exactly 4 squares wide on A4 measures and is positioned top right with 1 square spacing to the edge. Positive and Reverse 1.3.1 How to distinguish between the positive and reverse versions Positive and Reverse Versions have been developed so that the Konica Minolta Symbol Logo appear visually identical. Please note that the direction of the lines inside the Globe Mark ( iris ) is different on the positive and the reverse version. DO NOT invert the positive version to use as the reverse version, or the reverse version as the positive version. When the symbol logo data is inverted, the centre of the iris appears dark. Please select the most appropriate data from the reproduction tools for your application. How to Differentiate between the Positive and Reverse Versions Positive Reverse Line designs are different so that the iris appears to glow from the centre on both versions An Example of the Wrong Way to Use the Logo (Inversion of Logo Data) When the reverse version is inverted to use as the positive version When the positive version is inverted to use as the reverse version If the Symbol Logo is inverted, the centre of Iris appears dark

2 CLAIM Corporate brand Corporate claim Corporate typefaces
CLAIM Corporate BRAND 2.0.1 Corporate brand logotype While the Konica Minolta Symbol Logo has been developed in order to visually convey the Konica Minolta brand, the corporate brand logotype has been developed for more functional purposes. The typeface has been chosen to ensure excellent legibility in all escalations and in particular because it offers a clear, technical look and high levels of recognition.
CLAIM Corporate CLAIM 2.0.2 Corporate claim logotype This text presents the official typeface for the new Konica Minolta Claim as introduced during 2011. The Claim must always be set with sufficient levels of contrast as a rule by only using black or white. The width of the Claim is generally oriented to the width of the Konica Minolta logo in the particular advertising measure. The Claim is positioned in all print measures at bottom left with one grid square spacing from the material edge (see 6.3.3). In the case of measures on business stationery (e.g. letters or fact sheets) the Claim may also be positioned centred. The new claim includes a fundamental promise: that the work of every Konica Minolta employee is dedicated to the needs of the client, turning his ideas into reality.
