Introducing the Spider S3 - designed for light aircraft

You need, spidertracks Aviator

It s time to save lives Do you love flying? So do we. Then we discovered that if we were unfortunate enough to have an accident, the chances of being found were slim. When you think about how existing aircraft safety systems work you realize why - they have to survive the crash to transmit. And they have to be able to see a satellite. Which means they may not work at all! We didn t think that was good enough. It was time for a change. So we set out to make something better. Current technology is all about searching. Spidertracks is found technology. It knows where you are, wherever you are. It sends emergency SOS messages automatically when your spider tracking device stops sending position reports. Emergency services don t have to search for you - they know where to find you based on your last reported position, can reach you quickly - and save your life. That simple idea is a revolution in aircraft location alerting. Why? With spidertracks you no longer need your locator transmitter to survive the crash for you to be found and rescued. Spidertracks is leading this revolution with its Spiderwatch active monitoring service, the only flight following system that automatically turns on whenever you take off.

Spidertracks Aviator - safety and fun for pilots who love flying

If an SOS message is generated, friends, family or emergency services can go online and find you fast based on your last reported position.

What is found technology? In emergency situations, you need to be found fast. The faster rescue services can get to you, the greater your chance of survival. The biggest challenge for rescuers trying to find a downed aircraft is the size of the search area. Without an accurate location transmission, rescuers might have to search your entire possible flight path - and that could take days. With spidertracks, there is no search - just found. Spidertracks with its world-leading Spiderwatch active monitoring service, will watch over every flight, 24/7, wherever you fly, updating your location every two minutes. This means your position is being plotted to within 120 seconds - so you re never lost. It s simple. Only Spiderwatch active monitoring turns on automatically when you take off. When you land safely all you have to do is press one button on the spider device to tell the Spiderwatch service to stand down. You don t even need to file a flight plan because spidertracks and your followers know exactly where you are at all times. But if you have an accident, SOS need help now messages are automatically sent by the website, within minutes of when the spider stops transmitting. With spidertracks the SOS messages are sent by text and email to two tiers of your support people - the people who know best how to find you quickly. If the SOS is not cancelled by you or one of your support people within 20 minutes, the SOS is escalated to the second tier. SOS messages include location, altitude, speed, direction, time and contact details for the other recipients. Based on this information, emergency services can find you within an area of just a few square miles - not a few thousand, and within minutes not hours. And that may save your life. The search is over; found technology is here.

1. Your details or the person you are following. 2. Total time and distance flown, by month, by year and all. 3. Follow other pilots from around the world.

4. Your virtual flight log - you add headings, notes, upload photos, and it calculates time and distance flown. Click here to change the map to the right. 5. The track of your flight - reports your position every two minutes in real-time. 6. Keeps a permanent record of each flight - pilot in charge, aircraft, where you flew, how far and for how long.

Welcome to the Aviator Club Like you we love flying. And we know how much pilots love to talk about flying with other pilots. To help pilots share their fun with fellow aviators we ve created the spidertracks Aviator Club, a website where you can record, store and share your flying experiences with others. It s your virtual logbook - Spidertracks keeps a permanent record of every flight you make that you can review anytime. It knows where you ve been, how long and how far you flew. All this information is updated automatically in your online log. You just fill in the details and upload your photos and you ve got a full record of your flights. You can give your flight a heading, add details about the journey, nominate the pilot in charge and add notes about your crew or passengers. Running totals of flight hours and distances are recorded and data on the Statistics page will help you keep track of your hours, engine time and distance flown - and show you the altitude and speed profile of the flight. It s your online Clubroom - The Aviator Clubroom is a forum where you can share your flights, thoughts and questions with other pilots. You can find friends, find out about places you are going to fly to and share stories with other pilots like you, who love flying. You ll be able to set up or join groups of likeminded pilots to talk about specific interests, tell people about the best places you ve flown and help fellow pilots with their queries. Social networking - You can make your tracks viewable by your online friends, or with the wider Aviator community - or keep them private. By making your tracks public, anyone in the spidertracks Aviator community will be able to see where you ve been and you ll be able to follow other pilots, see their tracks and view their photos. You can also share your tracks with other social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Flight following - Your flights are tracked on terrain maps, so others can share the journey, when you re still flying, in real-time. This can be for fun, or for safety, because if someone is worried and needs to know where you are, all they have to do is login and see your latest location on the map. And if an SOS message is generated they can go online and go straight to you location page to find you. It s about you - The website is designed to help you get the most out of your flying. You can tell people a little about yourself and there s a place to add information about your aircraft. It s completely up to you how much information you share with others - your privacy is paramount. Access to the Aviator Club website is free - and it s open to people who aren t spidertracks clients because we think everyone should be able to share their love of flying.

With the ispiderviewer app, available free from the itunes store, you can also follow flights on your iphone!

The Spider S3 The Spider S3 portable safety location device has been designed specifically with the Private Pilot in mind. Compact - designed to sit snugly on the glare shield or dash with a view of the sky. Completely portable - no external aerial and powered by auxiliary power (cigarette lighter plug) so it can be shared between aircraft or vehicles. Because it is classified as pilot carry on equipment there is no costly installation. Simple to install, simple to use - just plug in and go! EASY TO ACCESS KEYPAD The Watch button - cancels Spiderwatch when the pilot lands safely. Spiderwatch turns on automatically and there s just one button to press before the aircraft is powered down to tell spidertracks that all is well and it can stop watching over the flight. If Spiderwatch, the automatic active monitoring is not activated, pilots can use the Watch button to manually turn on monitoring during flight. The SOS button - if something goes wrong during flight the pilot can manually activate the emergency alerts, telling the system to speed up the location reporting rate to 30 seconds and to send text and email SOS messages to the pilot s support people. The Mark button - the pilot can send up to four pre-programmed text or email messages to nominated recipients. Or mark a spot on your track.

Why should you have one? Time It s time for a change. Don t rely on your emergency location device to survive a crash to work. With spidertracks, the SOS alert is sent by the spidertracks system, automatically within minutes of when the spider stops transmitting. Found technology With spidertracks you ll be found faster. Automatically monitors every flight, 24/7, 365 days a year. Only Spiderwatch active monitoring turns on automatically and it takes just one button press to cancel. SOS messages are generated within minutes - there s no waiting for the next satellite to pass. They can be sent to two tiers of contacts, which may include rescue services. Because your location, speed, direction and altitude are known, the search area is very defined. Search is over; found technology is here.
