The Zimbra Web Client (Advanced version) includes a number of enhancements.. Mail A user no longer has to click on the right and left arrow to navigate through email, instead the user can scroll through the email headers associated with a particular folder. Under the View menu, there are two new options. Reading Pane on the Right sets up a three pane view. Expand conversations from old to new puts the oldest message first. Keyboard shortcuts are listed in brackets [] on menus. To provide more vertical space for folders, the New Folder bar has been changed to a button to the right of the word Folders. Viewing a message in a separate window (Preferences > Mail, Under Message Preview, Doubleclick opens message in new window) now includes all the mail features: Return Read Receipt is now functional. Users can manage Responding to a Read Receipt when a message requests a read receipt. Manage Read Receipts under Preferences > Mail. The tabbed email compose feature allows users to compose emails in a separate tab. This allows a user to compose multiple emails, and this also allows the user to switch back and forth from composing emails to accessing other features calendars, tasks. If composing results in a new compose window instead of a new tab, then go to Preferences > Composing and uncheck Always compose in new window to enable this feature. Note that the Subject becomes the title of the Compose tab. Click the Cancel icon or the X on the tab label to delete the message without sending it. Mandatory spell check of new messages can be enabled. Preferences > Composing and under Settings, check Mandatory spellcheck before sending a message When printing an email message, the user can change the size of the text before printing. When filling in the To: field, Zimbra will list the top contacts that match the letters you have typed. To the right is a Forget link. Address Book When editing a contact, add an additional field by clicking the + icon and select the type of information from the drop down box. Likewise, clicking the icon deletes the field. Calendar Users can add.ics attachments to their calendar directly from the email message. An Add to Calendar link displays in the message header when an.ics file is received. Fish-eye Calendar View is available in the month view. Click on a day and view the calendar entries for that day. The user can see all appointments over a two-week period and select multiple appointments to act upon at once. In the View menu, select List. Rev: 1/4/11 3
The user can select and work with multiple events at a time (print, delete). Preferences > Calendar allows a user to specify a number of calendar configuration options: o A user can configure whether new appointments are added automatically (before Accept or Tentative). o A user can set as default Public or Private for all new appointments. If the default is Private, then all new appointments added to the calendar will be Private. It is now possible to disable Send Notification Mail to attendees so they will not receive email updates on any changes to the meeting details. Tasks Preferences When the user clicks the Preferences tab, the Preferences folders open in the Navigation pane (similar to Email folders and Calendars). Under Preferences > Mail, a user can block or allow up to 100 email addresses or domain names. Sharing Preference has been added to the list of Preferences. Under Sharing Options Preferences, a user will see the following: Folders that have been shared with me but not yet accepted Folders shared with me Folders shared by me Share A Folder Using the Sharing Preference, a user can manage sharing on one page. A user can create and then run filter rules on existing sets of email. Select the filter(s) and click Run Filter. Employees with the Activesync option enabled will be able to remotely wipe the device. Preferences > Mail > Signature, it is now possible to insert an image into a sig file. Zimbra Web Client Mobile Interface Users with a PDA browser can use the Mobile interface to access Zimbra.
