Greetings golfers: Welcome to the New Year, 2015. We thank you for your support in the past and look forward to serving you for many years to come. Play was up a little this year, but unfortunately not enough to cover ever rising expenses. We ve made a few rate increases to better reflect these costs. (See the attached rate sheets) Fortunately we have been able to keep the fees very reasonable. We will continue to improve our products and services, and look forward to serving our valued friends and golfers in 2015. The course was in great shape this year and we appreciate the many compliments that we received. Lucas and the grounds crew did a great job and we expect to continue on that path going forward. We always try to achieve a maintenance meld to give you a golf course you can be proud of while still keeping golf affordable. Our success relies on our ability to attract all kinds of golfers to Canyon Springs. Those golfers include fee players, season pass holders, league players, junior players and tournament players alike. Canyon Springs is a terrific course in a great setting and our goal is to offer a special golfing experience to all. One of the keys to keeping golf affordable for season pass holders is to attract daily fee players and events. It s a simple equation: the more golfers we get, the easier it is for us to keep your season pass rates in check, spreading the cost to a larger base. We acknowledge that a few times a year this causes inconvenience and availability issues. Please work with us by arranging alternative playing times and we will do our best to keep you informed on the upcoming tournaments and events. We know that none of this would be possible without the support of our core group of avid golfers and loyal season pass holders. We have a positive & optimistic viewpoint moving forward and hope to share our unique course with all who would like to experience it. This allows more to enjoy the game and in turn will grow the game. As I m writing this, temperatures are in the single digits and the course is covered in snow. Let s hope we are able to enjoy our usual winter play. Ironically, the long range forecast is for a warmer winter than usual. Our service hours will vary with the weather. Please call us before coming down, if there is anything you need or if you have any questions. Enjoy the holidays with your family and friends. It won t be long before we are kicking off a great new year here at Canyon Springs. --Dave McCollum

GREETINGS EVERYONE First of all I want to thank everyone for a great 2014. We had a lot of fun this year and it was great to see the hustle and bustle inject life back into the Canyon. Thank you for your continued support. On behalf of the Canyon family I want you to know that we really do enjoy getting to know you and we enjoy the opportunity to serve you. We look forward to improving upon your experience with the game we all love so much. Never forget golf is just a game, a getaway and an opportunity to spend time with friends and family. 2015 is going to be more exciting than ever. We have a new and revitalized attitude, direction and dedication at Canyon Springs. The future is so bright. We look forward to taking all who want to join us on an exciting, fun and memorable journey over the next several years. We have a lot in store for the coming season so let s get started. The course was in great shape this year. Lucas and his crew did a fantastic job getting the course back into top notch shape this year. They have worked tirelessly on the intricacies and nuances that our unique situation and location calls for. They are not only growing grass but they are growing healthier more consistent playing surfaces. As most of you know they have cleaned up a lot of trees and dead debris. This spring we plan to punch the greens again with big tines as we did in the fall. This will require a little more time for the greens to heal but the long term effect and results will pay off tenfold. One of the things we can do as players to help Lucas and the course is to make sure we fill divots and repair ball marks. It only takes a second but especially on tee boxes and greens can make a world of difference. With that being said we will do a better job of making sure sand and seed is plentiful as you make your way around. Please help us thank Lucas, Tyler and the rest of the crew for their efforts and doing such a good job this year. The exciting part is it will only get better. The 2015 Season Pass fee schedule is attached. Please note that we are offering an early pay discounted rate and would like all to take advantage of that if you are able. If you have any questions please let us know. You can contact us at: Golf Shop #734-7609 Brandon - bk_otte@hotmail.com Cell 420-7056 Michael michael_e81@yahoo.com Cell 539-0732 If you want to come down to pay your dues, shop for Christmas or just come say Hi, please make sure you call before you come. We are usually open from 10:00am to 5:00pm most days but with weather and the holidays we don t want you to make a trip and have someone not be there. I want to remind and introduce you to a few of the events and ideas that are coming in 2015. Over the years we have tried to get a couples night or league going and just have not had the success or consistency we would have liked. But after visiting with many of you and learning

from the past we are excited to announce that a couples night will be a focus and highlight in the Canyon this coming season. We will get you more of the details early in the spring but help us spread the word that couples will be happenin in the Canyon. We are also going to start having monthly and/or bi-weekly deals or promotions for season pass holders only. This could be a deal on a particular merchandise item; a bring a friend promotion; lunch or drink special; golf lessons or clinics; or we might just occasionally draw out of a hat for some prizes. This will be something fun that our valued customers can look forward to. We still have a great selection of merchandise in the Golf Shop for you to choose from. The Holidays are all about family, friends, good food, memories, snow, and yes, the opportunity to give tokens of thanks and appreciation which in turn bring you joy. Golfers love golf stuff. Whether it is some new golf balls, a hat, shirt, jacket, grips, wedge, hybrid, fairway wood, driver, bag, shoes, glove or you could resort to old reliable and get them a punch pass or gift certificate. Once again there is no better time or place to find the perfect Christmas gift than at the Canyon. We look forward to seeing you all around. Thank you to those who continue to support our juniors. As many of you know our junior program is not only the best program in the state but continues to grow more every year. Zach and his team have done a fantastic job introducing kids to the game. They have helped them grow and develop at all levels. Their programs they have producing some of the best junior players in the state and helped many earn scholarships to play golf in college. Most important is they are teaching them the life lessons that can be learned from the game of

golf. The reality is that kids of all ages are putting down the TV remotes, putting phones on silent, rolling up the game controller cords and staying out of trouble because they are out playing the greatest game in the world. We want to invite everyone to support our junior programs moving forward. It really is one of the best opportunities and gifts we can give our children. Please help me thank Zach, Kaylynne and their team for helping the kids and growing the game. As many of you know our Men s and Ladies Associations have switched things up a bit and the best is still yet to come. Our Men s Association President Rick Burke and our Ladies Association President Jan Hall along with their teams have really been working hard to improve the association experience. Jan has done a fantastic job with ladies twilight; bring ladies out of the woods to join them on Tuesday nights. The men s league on Thursdays has never been more competitive and active as it was this year. They have also put together some of the most enjoyable Member Guests and Club Championships we have had in years. Please get to know and thank your association officers. If you are not already involved, get involved. There is so much fun to be had if we all work together. Look for tournament, twilight and couples information as well as other event information in the early 2015 news letter. Thank you all once again for your continued support and friendship. On behalf of all of us at Canyon Springs I want to wish you all a spectacular Thanksgiving, tremendous Christmas and a fantastic New Year!! The 2015 golf season will sneak up quickly! I can t wait to see you all in the Canyon because it s going to be a fabulous year in the Canyon! Cheers! Brandon
