DEPOSIT: All Deposits, Travel Protection Insurance and Visa Fees paid to PDT may be paid by credit card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover), with a signed credit card authorization form, or by check. Upon receipt of your deposit, a written confirmation/invoice and a Passenger Information Form will be sent. Receipt of deposit confirms your reservation and is applied toward final payment. Deposit...US $300.00 per person IMPORTANT: In order to properly complete and process your reservation, the following items are required by the PDT office in addition to your reservation and deposit: a. Photocopy of your valid passport (picture/name page) b. Completed Passenger Information Form. 2. TRAVEL PROTECTION INSURANCE: Payment (non-refundable/nontransferable) is due at time of deposit and is in addition to deposit amount. Multi-City Packages... US $219.00 per person City Packages... US $89.00 per person Travel Protection Insurance is strongly recommended. Pre-existing conditions exclusion is waived, when insurance is purchased within fourteen (14) days of deposit. Travel Protection Insurance may be purchased at any time before the date of departure, but pre-existing conditions exclusion is not applicable, if purchased more than fourteen (14) days after deposit is paid. CHINA VISAS: PDT will be pleased to secure your China visa for a nominal fee. US Passports must be valid for at least six months AFTER the date of return and should have at least four (4) blank visa pages for visa stamps, excluding the non-visa pages. Passports should be sent to our office at least 75 days prior to departure date with a completed and signed Visa Application Form, one (1) passport-size (2 x 2 ) color photo, and payment by credit card or check. Visa fee is non-refundable, once the visa has been issued. All applications must be forwarded to the Chinese Consulate for their approval. Persons under the age of 18 years old will be required to submit their original birth certificate to the Chinese Consulate for a Chinese Visa request. PDT cannot guarantee the acceptance of your visa application. If, for any reason, your application is denied, a full refund will be made on your visa payment. Visa fees as shown are in effect at time of printing of this brochure and are subject to change; please call or visit our website for complete visa application details. PDT does not accept responsibility for passengers in possession of incorrect or invalid visas. Passengers traveling to Tibet: Entry permits to Tibet are handled by PDT. Your China visa is required in order for us to issue your entry permit into Tibet. Please note that, if PDT does not handle your China visa, we require a color copy of both your passport and China visa no less than six weeks prior to departure. Permits to Tibet are approved by the Tibet Tourism Bureau. Rules of entry to Tibet fluctuate and are subject to change. PDT cannot guarantee acceptance of your permit to visit Tibet. Minimum number of tour group participants may apply in order to enter Tibet. Please check these arrangements at the time of booking. China Visa Fee - US $220.00 per person (passport must be received at PDT office 75 days prior to departure.) Mailing or delivery fees are additional; see our website for details. VISAS: Japan - No visa required for U.S. citizens for stays up to 90 days. Thailand - No visa required for U.S. citizens for stays under 30 days. Vietnam & Cambodia - Visa required. For information, contact the Embassies of Vietnam and Cambodia. 4. CANCELLATION FEES (All tours): A written notice of cancellation must be received by PDT either by mail, fax, or e-mail. Oral cancellation by phone will not be accepted. 75+ days before departure...us $300.00 per person* 74-30 days before departure...us $400.00 per person* 29-16 days before departure...us $500.00 per person* 15 days before departure through day of departure...100% penalty *Plus any additional charges assessed by land suppliers or airlines. GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS 1. FINAL PAYMENT: Land Only Payment: Due 75 days prior to departure and may be made by check or credit card with a signed authorization form. PDT reserves the right to modify your tour arrangements to accommodate unforeseen circumstances due to high demand for air, cruise and hotel space. You will be notified, should this situation arise. 2. SPECIAL DISCOUNTS: Discounts are applicable to new bookings only, if the special promotion is being rendered by a third party such as hotels, airlines, ground operators, etc. All discounts are not combinable. Unfortunately, we are not able to apply promotional discounts, when payments are not received by the specified deposit and final payment due dates. 3. RE-BOOKING: A change in departure date, or from one tour to another after your original reservation has been processed, is considered a cancelled trip, and cancellation fees will apply. AIR & LAND INFORMATION AIR INCLUSIVE TOURS: Air-inclusive tour prices include international flights to/ from PDT s U.S. gateway cities, as well as domestic intra-china/intra-asia flights in conjunction with the land tour, and, once ticketed, are non-refundable and subject to all other applicable airline fare rules, including change/cancellation penalties of up to $500 per ticket (for international flights and intra-china/intra- Asia flights). Air-inclusive tour prices are subject to increase prior to the time you make full payment; air-inclusive tour prices are not subject to increase after full payment has been made, except for charges resulting from when minimum participation levels have not been met. A signed form will be required at the time of initial payment to expressly acknowledge your acceptance of this price increase policy. PDT endeavors to follow itineraries precisely; however, if flights are not available at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to modify the air and land arrangements for smooth operation of the tour. International and domestic air schedules are subject to change at any time. If you make your own transpacific flight arrangements, PDT will not be responsible for any loss resulting from flight cancellations, delays, or changes in land or flight schedules. AIRLINE RESERVATIONS AND PASSENGER NAMES: Passport number, date and place of issue and birth date is now required by many foreign governments, as well as some airlines, in order to confirm services. Names on your airline tickets must match the first and the last name(s) exactly as listed on your passport. It is the responsibility of the travel agent/traveler to verify that the name shown on the invoice exactly matches the traveler s passport name. PDT is not responsible for any ticket reissue charges or denial of boarding by an airline due to name discrepancy. BAGGAGE: Free allowances, limits, and additional charges for checked and carryon baggage may apply and vary by airline, frequent flyer status, booking class, destination (e.g., baggage allowance differs for the international and intra-asia sections of your tour), bag size and weight. Airline fees of up to $200.00 per bag for the first and/or second checked bag may apply. Refer to the airline s website for details on their checked and carry-on baggage rules. Baggage allowances and charges are subject to change. We strongly recommend baggage insurance, as PDT does not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to baggage or passengers belongings. It is at passengers risk throughout. For the most up-to-date requirements, please check with your air carrier prior to your flight. AIR INCLUSIVE TOUR PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: 1. Airline-imposed baggage fees: please consult your airline. 2. Fees for delivery of tour documentation to international destinations and overnight delivery of tour documentation due to late payments. 3. Cost of passport and visas, and all items of a personal nature. 4. Any fees incurred due to delays, changes or cancellations beyond PDT s control. 5. Customary gratuities to ship crew, local guides, drivers, boatmen, river guides, hotel waiters, chambermaids and porters. The end-of-tour gratuity to the Tour Director is also not included. REFUND ON UNUSED OR CHANGED TOUR ARRANGEMENTS: Portions of land arrangements, hotel accommodations or any other service or feature of the tour, which are not used, are neither refundable nor exchangeable. Travel Protection Insurance fee is non-refundable. Refund claims must be made in writing through the agent from whom the tour has been purchased within 14 days of the termination of the tour. A written statement from the Tour Director or Local Guide certifying the exact services not rendered must be attached to this claim.

By utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither PDT nor any of its officers, directors, employees, subsidiaries or affiliates shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay incurred by you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation, conveyance or other services of whatsoever nature resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or condition, including but not limited to defects in vehicles or vessels, breakdown in equipment or the negligence of their operators. PDT, its employees, officers, directors, subsidiaries or affiliates also shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, claim or accident resulting directly or indirectly (i) from delays, cancellations or changes in flights, itineraries, schedules, or other services of any nature whatsoever, (ii) from strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine or any other causes of any nature whatsoever or (iii) from acts or omissions of any Government, its local subdivisions, bureaus or authorities. All tour itineraries and fares may be affected by alterations or delays in air or surface transportation services of the various countries. PDT reserves the right to withdraw any tour and to make such alterations in the itineraries which, in its sole discretion, it may find desirable for the convenience of the parties or the proper operation of the tour. PDT reserves the right to decline to accept, or to retain any person as a member of the tour party at any time, if they in any way violate the laws of the country they are visiting, pose a risk to the safety of fellow tour members, or their behavior interferes with a smooth operation of the tour. NOTE: All tour fares shown in this brochure are based on the value of foreign currencies in relation to the U.S. dollar in effect at the date of the printing of the brochure and on the tariffs, airfares, taxes and fuel surcharges as of that same date and are subject to change at any time to reflect those or other changes since the date of the brochure s printing. PDT reserves the right to correct promotional, pricing or typographical errors at any time. PDT reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure for any reason. In such case, a full refund of all payments will constitute full settlement with the passenger. The airlines and other transportation carriers concerned are not to be held responsible for any act or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger s contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger with respect to that service. Any and/or all transportation companies shall have or shall incur no responsibility for or liability to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers. The carriers international tariff is available for inspection and will govern all aspects of the air transportation. The Terms and Conditions contained herein and set forth in the brochures issued by PDT and on its website, under which you agree to utilize the services of PDT in arranging the tours, may not be amended in any way except in writing signed by an authorized officer of PDT. By utilizing the services of PDT, you agree that the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims, suits, actions or proceedings of whatsoever nature against PDT, its employees, officers, directors, subsidiaries or affiliates shall be the State of New York, and that such claim, action or proceedings shall be determined according to the laws of the State of New York. You also agree that, if you have a claim against PDT, its employees, officers, directors, subsidiaries or affiliates, (i) you will notify PDT, in writing, of your claim as soon as possible and (ii) that, if you choose to commence a law suit against PDT, its employees, officers, directors, subsidiaries or affiliates, you will do so within one year from the date of the last day of the tour on which your claim arose, failing which, your claim against PDT, its employees, officers, directors, subsidiaries or affiliates, will be forever barred.
