SDG/A-056 ANALYTICAL BALANCES Weighing Technology
AW/AX/AY Series: Shimadzu, s newest analytical balances Four decimal sensitivity and integral draft shield define the basic analytical balance. The new line of Shimadzu analyticals go beyond this definition with beautiful design and powerful features.
Shimadzu: A Manufacturer Who Knows Balances Shimadzu Corporation was established in 1875 in Kyoto, Japan, as one of the pioneers of scientific precision instruments. Ever since, Shimadzu has contributed to the development of industry and research. Balances are one of Shimadzu,s major product lines with a history of continuous innovation. 1875 1918 1925 1950 1959 1971 1977 1981 1985 1985 1993 Establishment of Shimadzu Corporation Top-pan and torsion balance Equal-beam analytical balance Direct reading analytical balance, DODIQ Top-loading direct reading balance, Type LU First electronic balance, Digibalance Introduced microprocessor to electronic balance, ED Series First electronic analytical balance(hybrid), AEL-160 First electronic analytical balance (full-range electro-magnetic), AEL-200 First full-automatic calibration based on temperature change detection, PSC Micro balance, AEM-5200
Shimadzu's eighty years of experience in balance production is reflected in the thoughtfully designed weighing chamber. It is spacious enough to place samples with ease, regardless of their shape. Doors open wide in three directions. Extra room allows samples to align with the chamber temperature before measurement. The level gauge is installed at the best visible position, and the all-metal structure ensures high durability and quality of exterior case. We know that even these seemingly small considerations contribute to accuracy and efficiency. In addition to these physical features, various advantages are offered from constant advancement. Perfect Self Calibration (PSC) Perfect Self Calibration (PSC) The balance self-calibrates when it detects temperature changes that would affect accuracy. Operator is released from constant attention to surrounding conditions (AW). 0 Clock-CAL Clock-CAL Fully automated feature initiates self-calibration at set time intervals, using motor-driven internal calibration weight. Up to 3 automatic calibrations per day may be pre-set to coincide with work schedules or to meet specific quality goals (AW). 8:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m. Calibration print out Motor-CAL Calibration can be made any time with simple key-touch operation (AW/AX). GLP/GMP/ISO9000 Conformance With optional printer connected to the balance, calibration reports which meet with the requirements of GLP, GMP, and ISO9000 can be produced. (AW/AX).
Windows Direct function The balance communicates directly with Windows applications. No additional software is needed to interface with spreadsheet, database, word processing, and laboratory software, but just a cable. The readout of the balance will jump directly to the cursor position. Windows Direct function works with Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT4.0 and up. P/C must be IBM PC/AT compatible. Piece counting function Piece counting function is installed as standard. Unit conversion Weight values can be displayed in various units. Ready for specific gravity measurements. Software for specific gravity measurement is pre-installed. Simply add optional specific gravity kit for efficient measurements. For jewelry and gold weighing Carat, and other units are installed as standard. Built-in RS-232C Interface RS-232C interface is installed as standard. Enables bidirectional communication as part of a fully automated process or LIMS. Analog Bar Graph Display The remaining capacity can be seen at a glance. Analog Bar Graph Display
