1 ABOUT INTERACTIVE TRAIL REPORTS The Interactive Trail Reports (ITR) site provides snowmobiling enthusiasts with the most accurate Trail Network and Trail Status information available from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC). Trail status information is updated regularly to reflect the current trail conditions. Check the site often to ensure a safe and pleasant riding experience. Users can easily toggle back and forth between the trail network and the trail status. Geographic search, as well as pan and zoom functionality, allow users to define and view the exact map area they want to ride. Users can access individual trail information, create routes or display predefined routes such as the Algonquin Park loop. Points of Interest such as gas stops or restaurants (sponsors) can be displayed. Before you start, you must agree to the terms and conditions (a cookie set on a user s system will control how often you need to click-through the disclaimer).

2 INTERFACE The Interactive Trail Reports interface has five main areas: 1) Map Panel: The topographic base map and the OFSC trail network. 2) Map Control: Tools for defining the geographic extents of the map (panning and zooming), and tools for toggling the trail status and/or legend on and off. 3) Map Legend: A description of the map features include trail classifications and Points of Interest. 4) Map Search: A search box for locating a specific geographic location. 5) Sidebar: An information area where you can see the total amount (kilometers) of open trails, access social media and link to Interactive Trail Guide mobile applications.
