Secretary Food, Agriculture & Livestock Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir July 2003 to 10th December 2004, the retiring date from civil service Administering departmental policy for crops, horticulture and livestock development for socio-economic uplift of the regional population. Ensuring food supply to every part of the state of AJ&K particularly of food grains at affordable prices. Staff planning, development budgeting administration and direct the daily management operations of Agriculture, Food and Livestock Department; the social sector functions servicing over 1500 employees located throughout the state area. Providing vision and leadership for the planning of future programs and take actions for ensuring food security and farmland development. ii. Secretary to the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir For Communication and Works, Physical Planning & Housing and Public Health Engineering Oct, 1999 to July, 2003 Administering the departmental policies of Communication and Works, Physical Planning & Housing and Pubic Health Engineering. Aug, 1991 to July, 1993 Conceived and planned a scheme in respect of preparation of Annual Development Program (ADP) on pragmatic basis and monitoring of the development projects embodied in ADPS. ii. Coordinator of UNICEF-assisted Programs in AJ&K. May, 1983 to August, 1990 As Coordinator of UNICEF assisted programs, conceived, planned and initiated following projects in AJK. Operationalizing and Strengthening of Primary Health Care Units in AJK. Project was launched under Health and Nutrition sector in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Environmental Sanitation sub-sector, low cost community based strategy/ options were put in place to promote sanitation and Hygiene education program. In the education sector the policy of training of primary teachers and development of low cost teaching aid was fine tuned through Education Extension Centers in Azad Jammu & Kashmir to improve the quality of primary education. A women skilled development program for self-employment was started for uplift of women in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. As would be evident from career profile sketched above, my civil service career mostly relate to management, economic planning and development administration. Jobs performed after 10 th December 2005, the retiring date as civil servant. Provided a short term consultancy services to The Micronutrient Initiative a CIDA subsidiary in July 2005 for fortification of wheat flour in AJK to control anemia among women and children. After Devastating October 8 earthquake, carried out relief and rehabilitation works organizing and motivating people to mitigate their sufferings on self help basis. Since July 2006 working as a Project Director, Monitoring Unit, established in AJK President s Secretariat under the funding of HEC, GOP to Monitor the financial as well as physical implementation of development projects funded by Higher Education Commission under AJK University/ies.
