Language and Culture in Florence Possible Internship Opportunities An internship while studying in Florence is an opportunity for you to continue your education and gain work experience in an international and Italian context. The internships listed below are current organizations that place Study Abroad in Florence students in un-paid internships. Please read through these descriptions and list 2-3 that you would be most interested. We cannot guarantee your first choice, but this will help the internship coordinator in Florence find the best possible placement for you. Requirements for all Internship Placements (any additional requirements for a particular placement will be listed individually): 8-10 hours per week. Monday Friday 9:00am 6:00pm Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, social media, etc. Excellent organizational, writing and communications skills NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION This NGO promotes intercultural dialogue, fair and sustainable development, and human rights. Its activities are based on International Development Cooperation as a means of achieving peace and justice between peoples. Its vision is one of fair, sustainable development promoting the freedom of peoples and the individual, as well as the quality of life for both current and future generations. They also work on educational programs dealing with antiracism, development, intercultural relationships and the defense of basic rights. It is also involved in protecting the interests of refugees and asylum seekers. It runs training courses on antiracism designed for workers in various public and private sectors. CULTURAL ASSOCIATION This association provides adults and children the opportunity to learn new skills, improve their talents and develop their inner creativity. Courses in English, dance, music, and the arts are offered at every level and ability. The association organizes seminars, workshops, and summer camps for all who desire dynamic, creative and imaginative activities. They provide a friendly and welcoming setting, which includes a spacious dance studio and a large garden with patio. All environmental initiatives are based on solid scientific data and accompanied by concrete, realistic and economically feasible suggested alternatives.
