Policy and Procedure HR.965 Updated November 2013 APPEARANCE FOR NON-WARBROBED MCs I. PURPOSE The following guidelines have been developed in order to help non-wardrobed Model Citizens (MCs) be most successful in their jobs at LEGOLAND California Resort (LLCR). Supervisors, managers and other non-wardrobed MCs are expected to provide and maintain their own clothing. This appearance policy provides guidelines to be followed when purchasing new clothing or putting together appropriate looks from within an existing wardrobe. Looking your best and taking pride in your appearance will contribute significantly to your success at LLCR. Although this policy is not an exhaustive list of appropriate attire, it should provide a clear guideline on appropriateness of clothing selection. II. SCOPE All Model Citizens of LLCR that are not required to wear wardrobe. Administrative staff, supervisors and managers who are not required to wear wardrobe as directed by their department should adhere to this policy. Leads should consult with their supervisor for applicability to this policy. III. POLICY A. Please read the entire policy. There are specific guidelines outlined later in the policy for supervisory staff and female and male staff. B. In general, the policy is to maintain a professional standard of dress to convey a professional image to our guests, external partners, fellow MCs, applicants and other visitors to our resort. If you are uncertain about a color, fabric, style or overall look, please stop by the Wardrobe Department and ask if it is appropriate or consult with your supervisor. C. It is important that we are easily recognizable and present a professional image to our guests, external partners, fellow MCs, applicants and other visitors to our resort. D. An important guideline for non-wardrobed MCs is that clothing must in no way impede their ability to safely perform their jobs nor should clothing and appearance provide a distraction in the workplace. E. All garments are clean, pressed and well maintained at all times. When selecting clothing to wear, stay clear of clothing that is revealing. Skirts and dresses should be no shorter than 4 above the knee when standing. Appropriate undergarments are required and should not be visible. Short tailored trousers may be acceptable if they convey a professional rather than a casual image. F. Sweatpants, sweatshirts, "hoodies" and jeans are not permitted. 1

G. SHOES Dress shoes in good business taste are acceptable footwear. Athletic shoes, extremely high heels (4 or more), high platforms, casual slippers, flipflops and UGG-style boots are not considered business attire and are not acceptable. Comfort and practicality are important factors in choosing appropriate business shoes for work in the park. Shoes must be clean and polished (if applicable) at all times. H. SOCKS & HOSIERY Socks that coordinate with your shoes and clothing and present a proper business image should be worn. Fun colors or patterns are acceptable as long as they do not incorporate character images not within the LEGO product range. For ladies, if panty hose or tights are worn, they should be professional and coordinate with your outfit or attire. I. As a family park, it is crucial that MCs attire is appropriate to the family context of our operation. J. The overall judge of the appropriateness of clothing and appearance rests with your supervisor and Wardrobe. K. BRICKBADGES (NAME BADGES) 1. Brickbadges are to be visible at all times and placed in the upper, left quadrant of your torso. 2. If you are wearing a shirt with an embroidered logo, the brickbadge should be worn above on left front of shirt. 3. Additional decorative bricks, tiles and mini-figures are allowed to be attached to your Brickbadge so long as the total size of the Brickbadge is not excessive. Total maximum size is 4 wide x 2 1/2 high x 1 deep. The decorative additions may be LEGO elements only and may not distract from the focus and purpose of the Brickbadge. Your name must be clearly visible to guests. A LEGO Minifigure is required to be worn with your Brickbadge, unless your specific job dictates otherwise due to safety. Wardrobe will issue you a Minifigure with your Brickbadge. Minifigures are meant for trading with Park guests. The weight of the Brickbadge should not pull the MC's shirt, tilt the Brickbadge or impact the MC's ability to safely perform their job duties. 4. Non-wardrobed Model Citizens may eat in any of the restaurants in-park during their shift, as long as they remove their Brickbadge prior to purchasing food. Please be considerate of our guests when eating in the Park. L. ISSUED WARDROBE ITEMS 1. Supervisory and management MCs working in the Park will be issued a jacket and bbrickbadge, which they are free to wear whenever they are scheduled to work in the park. 2. In most cases, it is the MCs responsibility to launder or dry clean and maintain these garments, ensuring that they are always clean and presentable. Refer to Wardrobe if you need clarification. 3. It may be possible for Wardrobe to issue jackets to MCs who do not spend most of their time in the park, but this will depend on availability and inventory levels. 2

4. If an MC leaves employment of LLCR, they will be required to return all wardrobe pieces issued to them (including their Passport and Bbrickbadge) or the value of these items will be deducted from their final paycheck. 5. An MC will be asked to sign an agreement that verifies their responsibility for any wardrobes that are issued. 6. The agreement will authorize a wage deduction for the costs of any wardrobes that are not returned or are returned damaged through negligence, at the time of separation. M. ALL PARK SUPERVISORY STAFF 1. Park supervisory staff should be easily identifiable by guests and MCs. Numbers 11 and 12 of this section addresses specific guidelines for male and female supervisors. 2. Park supervisors may be issued wardrobe or must wear (1) professional attire, (2) LLCR logo button-up shirts (with this type of shirt, a tie is not required), or (3) specially designed polo shirts. Attire should be free of non- LEGO logos other than the clothing brand names located in a nonconspicuous area of the clothing. 3. Park supervisors may be directed to wear certain attire on specific days. 4. Shirts must not be faded, the collar must lay flat, and the overall appearance of the polo shirt must be clean and generally not have the look of being overworn. 5. Trousers may be dress material such as linen, wool or other blends and must always be clean and pressed. Colored trousers are acceptable, but should be professional. Checks, plaids or stripes are permitted as long as they are subtle and tasteful. 6. Jean-style or denim trousers may not be worn, even if they are made of a fabric other than denim. 7. Trousers must fit in a way that is not overly loose, baggy or sagging. 8. Only cargo chino or solid chino shorts may be worn when working in the park and only according to specific department guidelines where the nature of the job is conducive to shorts rather than trousers. 9. Dress hats in straw or felt and approved LLCR baseball caps may be worn as sun protection. 10. SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FOR MALE PARK SUPERVISORS: a. Shirts may be long- or short-sleeved and must be well pressed. Shirts must have a collar. Stripes, checks or plaids are acceptable as long as they are tasteful and coordinate with the rest of the outfit. b. Belts should be worn with trousers that have belt loops. 11. SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FOR FEMALE PARK SUPERVISORS: a. For female supervisors working out in the park, it is strongly recommended that trousers are worn instead of dresses or skirts. This makes practical sense and allows for maximum flexibility in 3

carrying out your job duties. Each individual knows what works best for their particular job function. b. Shirts or blouses may be long- or short-sleeved and must be well pressed. c. If a sleeveless blouse or dress is worn, a jacket or sweater must be worn over the blouse when in guest areas. d. Patterned fabrics are acceptable as long as they are tasteful and coordinate with the rest of the attire. e. Knitted tops may be worn if they are of an appropriate weight and style for business. Once again, if sleeveless tops are worn, a jacket must also be worn in guest areas. f. Halter tops, strapless styles or anything that could be considered evening wear is not acceptable, unless a jacket or sweater is worn over the top at all times. Necklines must not be overly revealing. Tops with revealing cutouts are unacceptable. g. Skirts and dresses are not considered appropriate business attire if they are more than 4 above the knee when standing. Long skirts should be of a length and fullness that they are not a safety hazard or impede carrying out job duties effectively. Slits or openings must not be overly revealing and should always end no more than 5 above the knees. h. Leggings are not appropriate unless worn under a skirt as outlined in "g" above. N. ADMINISTRATION STAFF 1. All staff is expected to maintain a professional appearance at all times regardless of the day. The guidelines above will give a reference on what is appropriate attire. 2. Administration staff should comply with the standards set forth in the rest of this policy. 3. Days that involve working in the park during park hours, meetings with clients or vendors and days when the MC is presenting the MC should be more selective when choosing clothing for the day. Professional business attire is expected. O. EXCEPTIONS TO POLICY 1. As a 365 day a year operation, MCs must maintain a professional standard of dress to convey a professional image to our guests, external partners, fellow MCs, applicants and other visitors to our resort. 2. Department directors may, at their discretion, allow specific MCs to wear attire outside of this policy on very limited occasions when the nature of the MCs job for that day would be impaired by professional attire. For example, extremely physical work, job duties that require lifting heaving items all day or a day where the MC will be working in extremely dirty/muddy conditions. These days must be the exception rather than the rule. 4

IV. 3. On these exception days, an MC may need to change into clothing that adheres to the rest of this policy if the MC is required to attend meetings, training programs, perform interviews or employee relations activities or represent LLCR in any way to guests, external partners, fellow MCs, applicants and other visitors to our resort. 4. On exception days, the nature of the MC's job should be such that it prohibits compliance with the policy. Hence the MC will be in a position that is not visible to our guests, external partners, fellow MCs, applicants and other visitors to our resort. 5. On these approved exception days, the following exceptions may be made. The remainder of the policy remains in effect. a. Dark colored jeans or denim are permitted but must be free from tears, not faded, and overall presentable. b. Logoed T-shirts and sweatshirts are not acceptable. MCs should wear appropriate clothing for the office, be presentable without risking the professional environment. Clothing should not be too tight or revealing. c. Examples of inappropriate articles of clothing: shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, tight t-shirts, t-shirts with a logo that could be offensive to some, rock t-shirts, sweatpants, pajamas, track suits and leggings. MCs should never appear that they are at the beach or of sloppy appearance. d. MCs may be allowed to wear athletic style shoes during approved exception days if the nature of their job prohibits them from wearing any other form of footwear. P. GENERAL APPEARANCE Refer to Grooming and Appearance Policy. PROCEDURE A. Any MC who reports for work and does not meet the Wardrobe Appearance standards set out in this policy will not be considered ready to start their shift and will therefore not be allowed to clock in. B. Failure to adhere to the standards set forth in the Wardrobe Appearance Policy will result in corrective action up to and including termination of citizenship. C. If you have any questions regarding the Wardrobe Appearance standards, consult with the Wardrobe Department or your supervisor. 5
