LEVEL 6 CURRICULUM The administrative team will be making a change in delivering Islamic Studies to the students in level six. The change is due to the irregular attendance at that level. We feel that the students at this age need to be more involved and engaged in the learning process in order for them to stay interested and to enjoy coming to Sunday School. We feel that we will be able to push them to reach their full potential by allowing them to take a leadership role in their Islamic Education. Our plan is to have a meeting with the students and to allow them to choose a variety of topics that they would like to learn this year. The list of topics that they will choose from will include some of the topics that the parents included in the feedback that we got last spring. Once the topics are decided upon, we will be asking a number of guest speakers from our community to sign up for the session based on their strength and interests. The students will also be asked to lead at least one session throughout the year. The parents will then be informed as soon as those decisions are made. Tajweed classes and Quranic Arabic will continue as outlined. We are also counting on you, the parents, as well to let us know if you are interested in leading a session on any Islamic Education topic. In shaallah together we will continue to form a cohesive, inclusive Islamic community and continue to support and to enrich the life of our young learners who have the potential to be strong leaders. May Allah Subhanahu wa taala guide us on the right path.
