SAR was stood down on 27 July after the mushroom picker walked out on their own and flagged down a motorist. SEA LAND 1 16 1 16 Columbia Valley and Kimberley SAR members responded to search for a missing hiker in the Jumbo Pass area. The male had left Panorama Village near Invermere and had not been seen for 3 days. Subject was located and brought out by SAR. LAND 1 4 1 4 Sicamous Rescue members responded to BCAS request to rescue an injured male located at the narrows on Shuswap Lake. SAR rescued and turned over the patient to BCAS and taken to hospital. VIR LAND 1 5 1 5 Powell River SAR members responded to rescue a 45 year old male who had broken his leg after jumping into shallow water near Lois River. SAR rescued and turned the patient over to BCAS. SWE 4 1-1 4 Hope SAR members responded on 27 July to recover the body of the male missing in the Nahatlatch River since 20 July. SAR recovered and turned over the deceased to the Office of the Coroner. SWE LAND 1 16 1 16 Chilliwack SAR members responded to rescue a mountain biker with a fractured arm from the Tamihi Forest Service Road. SAR brought out and turned over to patient to BCAS for transport to hospital. SEA LAND 1 5 1 5 Arrow Lakes SAR members responded to search the occupant in a motor vehicle accident suspected to have been flung over an embankment on the Beaton Forest Service Road near Nakusp. Subject was located in good shape by RCMP. NWE LAND 1 9 1 9 Terrace SAR members responded as requested by the RCMP to search for a missing female in the Jack Pine area. The SAR team was stood down while responding when the individual was assisted from the river by others and handed over to BCAS. NWE NWE 1 3 1 3 Kamloops SAR members were stood down while preparing to respond to rescue a despondent female from East Barriere Lake. SAR was stood down after the female was rescued by others on scene. 1 21 1 21 Prince George, Burns Lake, Terrace, Smithers, Vanderhoof and Houston SAR members responded over several days to search for a missing 16 year old fisherman last seen on Tchesinkut Lake. Subject was located deceased and turned over to the Office of the Coroner. 1 4 1 4 RCM SAR members responded as requested by BCAS to rescue a patient in cardiac arrest. After an assessment by an attending paramedic the subject elected to remain onboard. 2 6 2 6 Terrace SAR members responded as requested by the RCMP to search for potential occupants of a

The two occupants of the vehicle were accounted for and the SAR team was stood down. SWE LAND 1 15 1 15 Squamish SAR members responded to a BCAS request to rescue an exhausted hiker at the Paradise Valley Campsite at Brohm Lake near Squamish. The individual was extracted via helicopter and passed to BCAS in good shape. SEA LAND 1 4 1 4 Fernie SAR members responded to an RCMP request to investigate spot beacon activation on Cabin Forest Service Road and Wigwam Forest Service Roads near Elkford. An adult female was located with head injuries sustained in a mountain bike on the Continental Divide trail. The patient was flown by helicopter to BCAS in Fernie and transferred to hospital. VIR LAND 1 8 1 7 Metchosin SAR members and 1 Saanich SAR member responded to search for a hiker that became lost while avoiding a cougar on Mount Finlayson near Goldstream Park. SAR assisted the subject to the parking lot. SWE LAND 1 8 1 8 Chilliwack SAR members responded to an RCMP request to search for a missing male near Bailey Land fill. SAR were stood down after the subject was found by RCMP. SWE LAND 1 9 1 9 Squamish SAR members responded to rescue a hiker with an ankle injury on the Half Nelson Trail. The patient was brought out on a wheeled stretcher and handed over to BCAS. SWE LAND 1 13 1 13 Surrey SAR members responded to an RCMP request to search for a missing male with dementia. The subject was located by RCMP in the Guildford area of Surrey after placing a phone call to relatives. VIR LAND 1 35 1 35 SAR members from Ladysmith, Cowichan, Nanaimo, Arrowsmith, Metchosin, Juan de Fuca, Saltspring, and Cowichan Amateur Radio responded to RCMP request to search for a missing woman believed to be on Penelakut Island near Ladysmith. The search was concluded and stood down by RCMP on Aug 1st pending new information. VIR LAND 1 6 1 6 Comox Valley SAR members responded to a BCAS request to rescue an injured hiker on a trail in the Circlet Lake area of Mount Washington. SAR was stood down while mustering after the subject elected to walk out without assistance. SWE LAND 1 8 1 4 Hope SAR and 4 Chilliwack SAR members responded to rescue patient injured in a dune buggy roll over accident on the Caroline Mine Road near Hwy 5 in Hope. Subject was airlifted out using HETS and transported to hospital via air ambulance. SWE LAND 2 4 2 4 North Shore Rescue members responded as requested by RCMP to rescue two hikers forced back from a trail on Holyburn Mountain by a black bear sow and two cubs. The two hikers were able to scare off the bears by making a loud noise and make their way to the parking lot safe. VIR LAND 1 25 1 25 Juan de Fuca SAR members responded as requested by BCAS to rescue a hiker from Chin Beach Trail near Port Renfrew. The hiker suffered an allergic reaction to a bee sting, and after being

SEA LAND 1 6 1 6 Nelson SAR members responded as requested by BCAS to rescue an injured mountain biker from a trail in the Mountain Station Road area of Nelson. The SAR team assisted BCAS and Nelson City Fire with carrying the patient from the trails. NEA LAND 1 2 1 2 Quesnel SAR members responded to search for a missing berry picker from an unnamed forest service road off the Barkerville Highway near Wells. The missing berry picker was located by friends in good condition and the SAR team stood down. 1 4 1 4 Shuswap Rescue members responded as requested by BCAS to rescue an injured woman at the narrows on Shuswap Lake. SAR did not locate the patient and later learned the subject had elected to take water taxi to Sicamous. SEA LAND 1 6 1 6 Golden SAR members responded to rescue an injured para glider that crashed near Indian Head Mountain in the Edgewater region. The subject was found with minor injuries and transported back to BCAS responders by SAR. SWE LAND 1 1 1 1 Central Fraser Valley SAR member responded to search for a missing female last seen in the area of 201st Ave in Langley. SAR was stood down when the female was located safely by RCMP. LAND 1 4 1 4 RCM-SAR members responded to Neilson Beach at the request of RCMP for potential rescue of an intoxicated male. The subject was successively apprehended and taken into custody by RCMP. SWE LAND 1 15 1 15 Surrey SAR members responded to search for a male patient missing from Surrey Memorial Hospital. SAR was stood down when the patient returned to the hospital. SWE LAND 1 11 1 11 North Shore Rescue members responded to rescue a female from Suicide Bluff trail. The subject was located at the trail head and released after a quick check over by SAR members. SEA LAND 1 4 1 4 Kaslo SAR members responded to rescue an elderly male with chest pains at the Silver Spray Lodge. Subject was airlifted out and turned over to BCAS by SAR for transport to hospital. SWE LAND 1 11 1 11 North Shore Rescue members responded to search for a missing male in the Mt Fromme area. The search was stood down when it was learned the subject's father had received a text message advising he was back safe. SWE LAND 1 5 1 5 Hope SAR members responded to rescue a patient in an ATV roll over accident at the Caroline Mine area. The subject was packaged and airlifted to Kamloops by BCAS. 2 7 2 7 Peachland Fire members responded to RCMP request to rescue two people in a sinking sail boat. The fire crew helped right the sailboat and then checked over the occupants. SWE LAND 3 8 3 8 North Shore Rescue members responded as requested by RCMP to search for 3 hikers in the Kennedy Falls area. The hikers were located in good

He was located in good health and escorted out by SAR. VIR LAND 1 13 1 13 Westcoast SAR members responded to rescue an injured female hiker on Net Trail. SAR team cut a trail and stretcher carried the patient to Squadron 442 for rescue. 1 4 1 4 Kelowna Rescue members responded to rescue potential occupant from a boat on Lake Okanagan. The boater was having mechanical issues and was safely escorted to shore by Kelowna Rescue. LAND 5 1 5 1 Princeton SAR member was stood down after being requested by RCMP to search for five missing ATV riders near Granite Creek. The hikers were located by the on duty Conservation Officer. 1 4 1 4 Shuswap Rescue members responded to assist BCAS rescue an injured female from the Alba Bay campground. The patient was brought out and transferred to BCAS. SEA LAND 0 0 0 Arrow Lakes SAR was requested to investigate report of an overturned vehicle down an embankment. It was confirmed that the incident was old and there were no patients on scene. SAR was stood down prior to mustering. SWE 0 15 0 15 Squamish SAR members responded to an RCMP request to search for potential occupants of an overturned dinghy on the Mamquam River. The dinghy was recovered and based on further investigation, the search was suspended by RCMP. NEA LAND 2 5 2 6 Prince George SAR members responded as requested by RCMP to rescue two missing hikers stranded above Hooker Lake. SAR rope team rescued and returned the hikers to their campsite. LAND 2 3 2 3 Logan Lake SAR members responded as requested by RCMP to search for two hikers in the Lac Le Jeune Lake area. Subjects were picked up and returned to their campsite by a passing motorist. SWE LAND 1 9 1 9 North Shore Rescue members responded as requested by BCAS to search and rescue an injured female from the top of Colesium Mountain. The patient was long lined out and passed to BCAS for medical treatment. 1 4 1 4 Shuswap Rescue 1 member responded as requested by BCAS to rescue a male with a foot injury from a house boat in The Narrows on Shuswap Lake. WEEKLY INCIDENT REPORT 27 JUL-02 AUG 2015 BODY RECOVERY On 27 Jul 15, Hope SAR assisted the RCMP recover a body at the junction of the Nahatlach and Fraser Rivers. Of note the deceased was the subject of a search initiated 20 July by RCMP. URBAN INTERFACE FIRES On 31 Jul 15, the Mission District activated an EOC to provide a reception center for residents displaced by an interface fire. Hatzic Fire (V10362). MISCELLANEOUS On 30 Jul 15, the City of Port Coquitlam activated their EOC to provide logistical support to the Fire Department dealing with a large structure fire in the commercial city block at 2628 Shaugnessy St., Port Coquitlam. On 30 Jul 15, Shirley Fire Department responded outside their jurisdiction, as requested by BCAS, to provide medical assistance to a hiker on the Juan de Fuca trail near China Beach.
