2 Overview The Forsyth County School System is searching the market for an applicant tracking and human resource management software system that is specifically designed for use in a school system and preferably integrates with our current operating system (MUNIS). The software must offer a comprehensive, affordable, and easy to use solution that is capable of fulfilling all of our human resource management needs including fully automating and streamlining all aspects of the hiring process (capable of addressing pre-and post-hire needs from recruitment to resume collecting to applicant screening to on-boarding to off- boarding to extensive reporting capabilities). The system must be built on flexible and customizable technology that adapts and grows, as the school system s needs change. The applicant tracking and human resource management system must ensure IT and HR department maximum security. The software system can be procured individually or implemented in a phased manner. Scope It is the goal of the Forsyth County School System Human Resources Department to bring together hiring administrators, employees, job applicants, and HR staff by utilizing an integrated, web-based applicant tracking and human resource management software system that is comprehensive, affordable, and user friendly. Product benefits include (but not limited to) attracting, screening and hiring the best candidates, expediting the hiring process and filling vacancies faster, efficiently locating specific candidate information using advanced search functionality, flexible and customizable solution that evolves with system needs, reduce hiring costs, employee turnover and the length of vacancy periods and the management of the hiring process from beginning to end. Client-side Issues a) Is the local computer required to download or install any local client? b) Are the requirements different for a school district HR "Administrator" than for an "Applicant"? i.e. Do the administrative users managing the application have different client requirements? c) If browser-based, does it require a plug-in? What Internet browsers and versions are compatible? d) Is data traffic encrypted back to application server? e) Is any info cached on the local computer? f) Does it require a particular client OS? g) How often is the app updated (historically speaking) necessitating an upgrade on the client? Would a mandatory upgrade potentially prevent anyone from accessing the application until the local client or plug-in was installed? How much notice do we get prior to a mandatory upgrade? h) What format is the data and how is it imported and exported? Server Issues - (If not hosted) a) What server OS is required?
