Study programme objectives 18. of the study programme Television 106 ECTS Documentary Film 108 ECTS - The curriculum is, first and foremost, intended for active and open-minded people having prior education and work experience in the field of the media, television and documentary film production, people who are interested in developing their professional knowledge and capabilities, who see creative potential in themselves, have social and cultural interests, a desire to participate in society, and if needed, take on the managerial and creative responsibility in the media, television and filmmaking companies. The aim of the curriculum is to open up the creative potential of the students in the factual and fictional television formats and genres and documentary film-making, create conditions for their professional self-realization in television and film production both as creators and on various editorial and organizational supervisory levels. Graduation terms In order to complete the curriculum studies, a student has to cover it in the prescribed load, take the courses in compulsory subjects and defend the final exploratory or creative project - a documentary film or a television format. Title: University-wide courses 6 ECTS The overall objective of the interdisciplinary project (IDP) is to develop interdisciplinary problem solving skills through practical and purposeful teamwork under the guidance of the lecturer. The student: - Correctly uses the key concepts of project management and interdisciplinary approaches in the IDP draft created in collaboration with team members; - Creates interdisciplinary connections when planning an IDP and analyses the perspectives of other disciplines based on the project's possible solutions; - Uses problem recognition, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills in initiating and implementing an IDP; - Uses the new expertise acquired during implementing an IDP by highlighting its interdisciplinary application potential in the defence of the IDP; - Participates effectively in teamwork in the project planning, implementation and defence of an IDP; - Analyses the progress and effectiveness of the project by critically assessing their activities and planning corrective actions; - Relates their specialty to broader social and intersectoral issues, discussing these issues at different levels of activities and justifying their opinion; - Analyses their own role and fulfilment of responsibilities as an IDP team member and contribution to the team's activities through self-reflection; - Understands the need for proactivity and entrepreneurship in project work and is able to communicate the activities to various target groups. To create an opportunity to practice analytical thinking in the fields of documentary film as well as visual anthropology. - the ability to sense the essence of documentary film, audiovisual art and culture, to know the development of the field and it's more important theoretical standpoints; - the ability to analyze film narrative; - the ability to solve ethical questions, to be knowledgeable about the possible effect

of ones actions and the limitations set by the best practice; - basic knowledge about the equipment and skills needed to produce audiovisual content.
