THE NEW BOARD PROGRAM Optimizing Board Performance The New Board Program (NBP) is Nyenrode s top advanced corporate governance program. Focusing specifically on the interaction within the so-called governance triangle executive directors, non-executive directors and shareholders/ stakeholders it brings together executives and non-executives in one classroom. The NBP relates their common boardroom performance to a company s or organization s success or failure. Boardroom performance is not only about strategy, aligning stakeholders and monitoring organizational performance and risks, but also about individual competencies, boardroom dynamics and boardroom effectiveness. The NBP inspires executives and non-executives to become well-informed, professional, responsible and effective board members. What does the New Board Program involve? The New Board Program is a two-year, parttime academic program. In eight modules all relevant aspects of Corporate Governance are captured. NBP17 will be the 17 th start of a successful curriculum consisting of 8 modules, including one international exchange module at Cambridge University, UK. There are 5 meetings per year, covering a total of 9 days annually. The program further contains a major event known as the Executive Session.
