TO ENHANCE STUDENT MOBILITY: - Summer Camp: Organizing International summer schools - Consider the development of International Summer Camp with partner universities in order to act as a taster for a longer period of study abroad - Study in Vietnam portal/website online application form for admissions better and more systematic information and guidance available to Vietnamese Institutions and potential International Students data collection on incoming student mobility. - Develop an ASEAN Government Scholarship Programs among ASEAN countries to enhance student mobility in the region 15/18
POLICY UPDATES - Law on Higher Education, approved by the National Assembly on 18 June 2012 and effective as 1 January 2013. 1 Chapter on International Cooperation (Chapter VI with 6 Articles) - Decree No. 73/2012/ND-CP on Foreign Cooperation and Investment in Education dated 26 September 2012, Effective 15 November 2012, providing stipulations on Foreign Cooperation and Investment in Education, including (1) joint training, (2) educational establishments with foreign investments and (3) foreign educational representative offices in Vietnam.
POLICY UPDATES - Project 911: Decision No. 911/QĐ-TTg dated 17 June 2010 of the Prime Minister Approving the Training Initiative Project for Educators of Tertiary Institutions to pursue and attain doctoral degrees for period 2010-2020. - Project 599: Decision No. 599/QĐ-TTg dated 17 April 2013 of the Prime Minister approving the Overseas Training Program for Vietnamese.
POLICY UPDATES - National Foreign Languages 2020 Project: Decision No. 1400/QĐ-TTg dated 30 September 2008 of the Prime Minister Approving the National Foreign Language Project for period 2008-2020. - Decision 2448/QĐ-TTg dated 16 December 2013: International Integration on Education and Vocational Training by 2020 - New visa category for students from 2015: Code: DH - valid up to 12 months
