WEISTEC M113K Modular Crank Pulley Thank you for your purchase of the Weistec M113K Modular Crank Pulley for the Mercedes 55 Kompressor AMG 5.5L Motor. Please follow all directions, and keep a clean work space when commencing installation. Tools Required Flat Head Screw Driver 1/4" Drive Ratchet 1/4" Drive 6mm socket 3/8" Drive Ratchet 6" Long 3/8" Drive Extension T-30 Torx Bit 13mm 6 point deep socket E-12 Torx Socket
1. Fan Shroud 1. Remove coolant line from fan shroud 2. Disconnect fan harness from fan 3. Remove bolts from retaining tabs on fan shroud 4. Remove fan shroud from vehicle 5. Line radiator with cardboard to protect it from damage 2. Belts 1. Remove supercharger belt using a 3/8 drive ratchet to pull back the tensioner. 2. Remove accessory drive belt using a 3/8 drive ratchet and a 17mm socket to pull back the tensioner.
3. Pulley Removal 1. Remove 4 bolts holding water pump pulley to the water pump and remove it from the engine 2. Remove flexplate access cover
3. Remove one of the torque converter bolts and replace it with a bolt that is long enough for a pry bar to be pressed against it to hold the crank from rotating
4. Use a long breaker bar to remove the crank pulley bolt
5. Carefully use a pry bar to pry the crank pulley forward and off the crank 6. Remove the crank pulley from the engine bay 4. Pulley Installation 1. COVER RADIATOR WITH CARDBOARD to protect it from damage
2. Inspect front main seal to make sure it is not worn or damaged. Repalce if necessary 3. Steps 4 through 10 are not necessary if the Crank Drill and Pin tool was not purchased with the Weistec M113K Modular Crank Damper Pulley 4. Bolting on Crank Drill Tool with included M16x1.5x100 bolt. Be sure that the keyway is lined up properly and that the Crank Drill Tool freely slides all the way on to the crank before screwing in the bolt. Torque bolt to 25nm with a 24mm socket 5. Applying grease or oil to the provided 7/32 drill bit and drilling the crank through the two holes in the Crank Drill Tool. Drill into crank until the red marking reaches the Crank Drill Tool as shown below. Perform drilling slowly to avoid over heating or breaking of the drill bit. Stop drilling intermittently to clean shavings off of drill bit and apply more grease/oil.
6. Using a Vacuum to vacuum away metal shavings 7. Removing Crank Drill tool using a 24mm socket 8. Double Checking to make sure the area is free of metal shavings 9. Lubricating Weistec M113K Modular Crank Pulley Hub with oil
10. Placing dowel pin onto crank, using grease to hold them in place 11. Pressing on 8 Rib Crank Damper. Make sure that the keyway is properly aligned. A mallet can carefully be used to help the damper fit in completely. 12. Lubricate supplied crank damper bolt 13. Screw bolt into crank. Torque to 200 Nm, then tighten an additional 90 degrees.
14. Bolt on Weistec M113K Water Pump Pulley with the supplied screws. Use Locktite and torque to 16 Nm 5. Final Assembly 1. Remove longer bolt from torque converter/flex plate 2. Reinstall original torque converter bolt 3. Replace flexpate access cover 4. Reinstall accessory drive belt 5. Bolt on Weistec Supercharger ring using included ARP bolts. Use Locktite and torque to 32 Nm 6. Install included supercharger belt 7. Remove cardboard from radiator 8. Reinstall fan shroud reusing original bolts 9. Plug in fan harness 10. Reinstall coolant line on fan shroud 11. Double check all steps were performed properly 12. Installation is complete NOTES:
