A lot of machine in a compact space It s amazing what you can grind within just 5 square meters of floor space. The Multigrind AF offers high performance that requires very little space. The AF s practical construction allows you to easily integrate this powerful package into your production process. With the 5-axis grinding machine you can economically produce and regrind precision tools for forming inner and outer surfaces with one clamp setup. The tool changer can hold up to 6 grinding wheels depending on diameter (max. diameter: 150 mm), which can be changed within 10 seconds. Fast tool changes allow for minimized processing time and increased productivity. High performance combined with relatively low investment costs make the AF a cost-effective boost to your production process. High precision When it comes to precision the AF delivers optimal results. In order to achieve maximum performance in this area, the machine, which is secured to a low-vibration cast-mineral base, is fitted with an additional NC axis for adjusting the tailstock. Automatic adjustments to the grinding tool increases precision and results in a homogeneous ground form. The direct measuring system combined with adaptive control also guarantees positioning accuracy during the machining process. The results are impressive no muss, no fuss. The AF maintains a planed surface right down to the baseline of a narrow flute with precision. For example, ginding a carbide hobbing cutter, which requires precision of up to a few micro meters.

Precision The core of the Multigrind AF is the grinding spindle, which is developed and produced in our plant in Trossingen, Germany (as are the rotary and NC axes). We never leave precision to others. Flexibility The 4-unit grinding wheel changer guarantees maximum flexibility. The grinding wheels can be replaced automatically in just 10 seconds. This is a real benchmark within the industry. Productivity The AF s efficiency is based on its five axes. Its dividing headstock with direct drive provides high dynamics and rigidity, which is reflected in a particularly high level of repetition accuracy. This allows you to produce componenets at competitive prices. Convenience We didn t lose sight of the human aspect while designing this machine. The CNC controls for the AF are therefore simple and ergonomic to operate. Convenient, graphic-assisted programming of the Multigrind AF, through a combination of Siemens 840D controls and a Microsoft Windows operating system lies behind its reliability. Combination with Haas simulation software is an intelligent, highly productive option.
