TGE TECH Waste and Green Energy Management For a best future TEL HAY JUNE 2008

TGE - INTRODUCTION TGE is developper of new Environmental Gasification Technology, focused on the treatment and energy recovery of waste and biomass( WTE & BTE ). TGE developps mainly gasification solutions of solid waste and the treatment of liquids effluents and sludge. With its partners GREENBEAR and ELKAYAM, TGE offer these solutions under the modality BOT (Build Own Transfer) or (Build Own Operate), and the client pay for a service without having to invest in the equipment. WASTE Gestión AND de energía ENERGY y residuos MANAGEMENT por un mejor futuro FOR A BEST FUTURE

Gasification : KEY POINTS It is not incineration (combustion) It is not biodigestion (biogas methane) Produces, with high energy efficiency, a fuel gas from the wastes (or biomass) called syngas. There is no direct emission gas in the atmosphere: the gas produced is recovered by a product noble. compact and simple Equipment, easy to use. Gestión de energía y residuos por un mejor futuro 3

CO-FIRING : PARTIAL SUBSTITITION OF THE PRIMARY FUEL FUEL ORIGINAL (OIL, NATURAL GAS, Etc) With small adjustments can partially replace the original fuel in a boiler WASTE Gestión AND de energía ENERGY y residuos MANAGEMENT por un mejor futuro FOR A BEST FUTURE

ELECTRICITY GENERATION WITH ENGINE ENGINES 100% SYNGAS Specifics engines Greater investment * Obs : At least, syngas improve diesel combustion DUAL FUEL ENGINES SYNGAS (subdued 80%) + DIESEL Engines(gensets) common Minor investment More clean than 100% diesel* WASTE Gestión AND de energía ENERGY y residuos MANAGEMENT por un mejor futuro FOR A BEST FUTURE

ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS Gestión de energía y residuos por un mejor futuro 11

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVANTAGES: KEY POINTS There is no direct emission of syngas in the atmosphere, syngas is usually recovered and cleaned before use. Reduced gas volume ( in comparison to incineration), there is no need to saturation with oxygene to ensure the combustion. Gasification is a slow decomposition process without fly ash. The chimical reaction in reductant ambiant (reduced oxygen) minimize organic components formation (dioxins, furans, Nox, Sox, etc) The post burning syngas is more clean than direct incineration of wastes The use of syngas in engines allows the generation of electricity and steam by cogeneration. Inert ash (final destination depend on local regulation) Gestión de energía y residuos por un mejor futuro 12

WASTE GASIFICATION - RESUME Our solution: Municipal Solid Waste treatment with simple pre-sorting (big pieces) No landfilling No incineración. Thermal and/or electricity generation Our Technology: Gasification process transforming waste (biomass, waste) into a gas fuel, which can be burned directly or used in an engine for electricity generation. Simple, low cost and easy to operate Gestión de energía y residuos por un mejor futuro 14

POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS: H2 AND SECOND GENERATION BIOFUEL SYNTHESIS OF LIQUID FUELS : - diesel (Fischer Tropch) - metanol (catalyst) - etanol (catalyst or fermentation) Gestión de energía y residuos por un mejor futuro 15
