Insert a Picture from ClipArt: 1. Click on Insert in the toolbar 2. Put your mouse on the word Picture in the drop down menu. 3. Click on Clip Art. 4. The Clip Art window will pop up. Search for the clip art you want to insert. 5. Click on the clip art you want. Click on the Insert clip icon. 6. Close the Insert ClipArt window. Insert a Picture From File : 1. Click on Insert in the toolbar 2. Put your mouse on the word Picture in the drop down menu. 3. Click on From File. 2
4. The Insert Picture window will open. Browse to the picture you want to insert. 5. Click on the file name of the picture you want. Click on Insert. Insert a Text Box: 1. Insert WordArt: 1. Click on the WordArt icon. 2. The WordArt Gallery window will appear. Click on the type of WordArt you d like to use. It will become outlined in black. 3. Click on OK. 4. The Edit WordArt Text window will appear. 5. Type your text. 6. Click OK. 4
Custom Animation (on bullets): 1. Click on Slide Show in the top tool bar. 2. Click on Custom Animation. 3. The Custom Animation window will pop up. 4. Under Check to animate slide objects: click on the object you want to animate. In this case Text 2 (the bullets). 5. Click on the Order & Timing tab. Here you ll be able to choose your animation order and when the animation will start. In general you ll want to start your animation On mouse click. 6. Click on the Effects tab. Here you can choose: How your bullets will enter the screen Sound effects Effects that will occur after the bullet has appeared on the screen How your text is introduced 7. Click on the Preview button to see what your animation will look like before you click OK. 8. You can do all of the animation you ll need for each slide right in this window. Slide Sorter View: 1. To view all of your slides at the same time, click on the Slide Sorter button at the bottom, left of the screen. 2. In this view you can click and drag your slides to change their order. Slide Show View: 1. To view your slides as a slide show click on the Slide Show button at the bottom, left of the screen. 2. Your slide show will begin. Click the mouse, anywhere on the screen, to move to the next slide. 6
