New and updated for December 2013 year ends The 2013 version of A Layout from the 2012 publication has been updated for the requirements of new standards, interpretations and amendments effective for the first time for periods beginning on or after 1 January 2013. See Note 1 for further details. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) A Layout (International) Group Ltd prepares its financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs). A Layout (International) Group Ltd is an existing preparer of IFRS consolidated financial statements. Therefore, IFRS 1 First time adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards is NOT applicable. These consolidated financial statements include the disclosures required by IFRSs that are applicable for financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2013. Due to the nature of its operations, the consolidated financial statements of A Layout (International) Group Ltd do not incorporate disclosures relating to: Insurance Contracts (IFRS 4) Exploration for an Evaluation of Mineral Resources (IFRS 6) Unconsolidated structured entities (IFRS 12) Construction Contracts (IAS 11) Government Grants (IAS 20) Retirement Benefit Plans (IAS 26) Hyperinflation (IAS 29) Agriculture (IAS 41). In addition, A Layout (International) Group Ltd does not engage in certain activities (generally undertaken by financial institutions) that would require specific disclosure under IFRS 7 Financial Instruments: Disclosure, including: Transfers of financial instruments Offsetting of financial assets and financial liabilities.
