Hilbert College Jamestown Community College 5200 South Park Avenue 525 Falconer Street Hamburg, NY 14075 Jamestown, NY 14702 (716) 649-7900 (315) 786-2200 Updated: June 2014 TRANSFER ARTICULATION AGREEMENT JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE (SUNY) Hilbert College and Jamestown Community College, through this formal articulation agreement, wish to strengthen their relationship and thereby assist students in their attainment of undergraduate degrees. This agreement should ensure student mobility within higher education, both public and private, across the State of New York. This agreement includes transfer into the baccalaureate degree programs offered at Hilbert College from the related associate degree programs at Jamestown Community College. The characteristics of this agreement which highlight its nature and intentions include language that can be deciphered easily by students and professional staff; preservation of the integrity of the Jamestown Community College program by assuring flexibility of acceptance of academic credit into the baccalaureate degree program; legitimate claims related to the timely completion of the degree program; continuous development, monitoring, and appropriate administrative response to the evolving nature of all curricula covered by this agreement; guarantees that the institutions prescribe to the Rules and Regulations that govern higher education in the State University of New York. The agreement will be monitored on a yearly basis by contact among officials from each institution. Each party assumes responsibility for making this agreement a viable and workable alternative for interested students. Either party may carry out the publication and marketing of this agreement. All students transferring to Hilbert College from Jamestown Community College must have a minimum of 2.20 in the major field of study. have a minimum cumulative quality point average of 2.00. have earned a C grade as minimum level for a course to transfer. have obtained the associate degree in one of the related degree fields mentioned in this document. Students who meet these provisions will be guaranteed admission to the related degree program at Hilbert College. Exceptions allowing admission of students who do not meet the minimum requirements described above may be made by Hilbert College on a case-by-case basis. Once accepted into Hilbert College, students who are transferring into the four-year program which parallels their Jamestown Community College program at the associate degree level will: be given junior status be considered to receive a transfer articulation scholarship in the amount of $1,250 per semester of full-time enrollment for up to four consecutive semesters.

be advised by faculty within their academic departments as they pursue the successful completion of degree requirements. Upon acceptance, an audit sheet for program completion will be outlined for incoming students. This program will be tailor-made to the student s prior academic work. complete a minimum of forty-five upper-level credits. achieve grade point averages that are set forth to reflect successful completion of degree requirements. Hilbert College places no restriction on the number of credit hours that it will accept in transfer. Of the final 45 credit hours toward completion of the baccalaureate, a minimum of 30.0 hours must be taken at Hilbert College. This agreement contains five audit sheets illustrating courses for incoming JCC graduates from parallel programs. Students who complete a minimum of 54 credits from the JCC coursework listed on the appropriate audit sheet can generally receive the baccalaureate degree from Hilbert College with two calendar years of full-time study. The following advisor sheets are provided. Criminal Justice (B.S.)* A.S. Criminal Justice or A.A.S. Criminal Justice Police Forensic Science/Crime Scene Investigation (B.S.) A.S. Criminal Justice or A.A.S. Criminal Justice Police Human Services (B.S.) Business Management (B.S.) Digital Media and Communication (B.A.) A.S. Human Services or A.A.S. Human Services A.S. Business Administration or A.A.S. Business: Business Administration A.S. Communication *A.S. Criminal Justice and A.A.S. Criminal Justice Police graduates who transfer from Jamestown Community College into the B.S. Criminal Justice degree program at Hilbert College and complete appropriate coursework during their junior year may apply for admission into the combined B.S. in Criminal Justice/Master of Science (M.S.) in Criminal Justice Education program at Hilbert College. These students begin taking graduate courses during their final year of undergraduate study, and any graduate course taken fulfill the requirements of both the B.S. and M.S. degrees. The combined program allows students to potentially finish both degrees with only two semesters beyond their senior year, saving them up to two semesters of graduate school. Students interested in this program should talk with an advisor at Hilbert College before registering for their first semester of coursework there. Note that application does not guarantee admission into this program. In addition to these outlined articulations of parallel programs, a Jamestown Community College graduate holding an A.A. Liberal Arts & Science: Humanities or A.A. Liberal Arts & Science: Social Sciences and meeting all requirements stated above for students transferring to Hilbert College from Jamestown Community College will also be guaranteed admission into their choice of Hilbert College s Communication Studies, English, Psychology, Liberal Studies, or Political Science programs. Due to the highly flexible and elective nature of these programs a similar audit sheet is not practical. In most of these cases, junior status will be granted and program completion requirements will be done on an individual case by case basis as applications are received. Hilbert College will generally accept the following courses to fulfill Hilbert College graduation requirements. Some Hilbert degrees require specific courses from among those listed.
